Will my Android device run PopCap Games titles?
The short and simple answer is to check the game's page on Amazon.com. Each game has a specific list of devices it has been found to be incompatible with in testing.
None of our Android titles to date are optimized for tablets. We are planning for tablet development in the next phase, so we thank you for your patience!
The baseline for Android device compatibility for PopCap Games has to do with a combination of minimum system requirements in various categories such as screen resolution, processor speed, memory capacity, and GPU for graphics processing. As with all our endeavors, we aim for quality above all else! That means developing our games for the best possible experience while playing. Unfortunately, many of the earlier-generation Android devices will not meet the minimum system requirements for our games.
Please click Contact Us below to report any issues you encounter running your game on a supported device. The following details will help us to investigate the problem:
- What Android device are you using?
- What is the Model number of your device?
- What version of Firmware is installed on your device?
- What is the Build number on your device?
- What actions were occurring just before the crash? (level or mode you were playing, graphic that was displayed, a phone call came in, etc)
- Has this issue recurred or was it a one-time problem?
- Are you running any kind of Task-killing/Application management software, such as an app that kills background apps to save battery power?

How do I play Bookworm on my mobile phone?
Game Rules:
- Feed Lex the Bookworm by spelling words - the longer the word, the more points you score.
- Spell the bonus word to score extra points. The more bonus words you spell, the bigger the points earned.
- Watch out for Burning Tiles! They will slowly burn their way down the board. Don't let them reach the bottom of the screen or they will set the library on fire and you will lose the game!
- Earn special tiles that increase the value of words!
- Green tiles are awarded for making 5 tile words.
- Gold tiles are awarded for 6 tile words.
- Sapphire tiles are awarded for 7 tile words (if your phone supports 7 tile words).
- Diamond tiles are awarded for 8 tile words (if your phone supports 8 tile words).
- Use two or more special tiles in a word and they can combine to create a more valuable special tile.
- Scrambles can be used to refresh the board if you can't make any more words - be careful though, each time you use a scramble burning tiles are added to the board, and you lose any special tiles you have collected. The more times you scramble, the more burning tiles will appear!
Keypad Controls:
- Simply type out the word you want to spell on your phone keypad. If using the Single-Tap system, only a single key press is required for each letter of the word. If using the Multi-Tap system, press each key a number of times to select the required letter.
- If more than one word can be spelled on the board, use the '*' and '#' keys to cycle through all possible words. To submit a word, press the '0' key or the select key.
Keyboard Controls:
- Simply type out the word you want to spell on your phone keyboard (if your phone has a 'numlock' key, make sure it is turned off first). If more than one word can be spelled on the board, use the '<' and '>' keys to cycle through all possible words (the '3' & '8' keys on certain handsets). On some phones, the 'spacebar' offers the same function.
- To submit a word, press the 'enter' key or the select key.
Joypad Controls:
- Move the cursor from tile to tile using the joypad. To select an unlit tile, press the select key. To submit a word, select an already highlighted tile and press the select key. On many phones if 'Keyboard Cursor' mode is enabled you can also use the keys 1-9 as a virtual joypad.
Stylus Controls:
- To select an unlit tile, tap it with the stylus. To submit a word, tap the last lit tile of the word. Tapping any other tile in a word will deselect all subsequent tiles.
Softkeys:
- Pause the game using the pause softkey.
- If you have selected one or more tiles, use the 'backspace' softkey or backspace key to de-select the last tile.
- If no tiles are selected, use the 'Scramble' softkey to trigger a Scramble.
Sound:
- If your phone has a key volume setting, we recommend you turn key sounds off as they can interfere with game sound effects.
How do I play Chuzzle on my mobile phone?
Controls:
- Use '5' to swap between rows and columns.
- Use the keys 2,4,6 & 8 to change the row or column, or scroll the selected Chuzzles. Chuzzles always return to their starting positions if they aren't matched.
Classic Game Rules:
- Move the rows and columns to match sets of 3 or more same colored Chuzzles.
- Pop enough Chuzzles to fill the Chuzzlometer and progress to the next level.
- Match several sets in a row or several sets at once to score bonus points!
- Pop 4 Chuzzles in a square to create space for a Giant Chuzzle.
- Match a set of 5 chuzzles to create a Super Chuzzle - Super Chuzzles explode when matched!
- Rainbow Chuzzles are rare - match them to score extra points.
- Watch out for Locks - a locked Chuzzle can't be moved!
- Using a HINT costs you points, but can help if you are stuck.
- Scrambles reset the board. Gain extra Scrambles for every 150,000 points scored.
- When you run out of Scrambles, and there are no more Chuzzle matches left, the game is over.
Zen Game Rules:
- You cannot lose in Zen - play for as long as you desire.
Expert Game Rules:
- Play a more difficult version of the game and score extra points at the end of each level.
Mindbender Game Rules:

The Fevermeter:
Adventure Mode:
- As you eliminate orange pegs, the Fevemeter lights up. As you hit certain thresholds on the Fevermeter, a score multiplier takes effect that increases the point value of your pegs, starting at x1 (no multiplier) all the way up to x10 (all pegs are worth 10 times their normal value).
The Ball-o-tron:
- This shows you how many balls you have left to complete the level. Spare balls give you bonus points when you clear all orange pegs.

Free Balls:
- Catch a ball in the Free Ball Bucket at the bottom of the screen to return it to the Ball-o-tron. You are awarded a free ball each time you reach 25000, 75000 or 125000 points on a single shot. If you don't hit any pegs on a single shot, you may be lucky and get awarded a free ball.
Fever:
- Hit the last orange peg in a level to activate Extreme Fever. Blue and Green pegs are worth 1000 points during Extreme Fever, while the Purple peg is worth 10000 points. The ball will fall into one of five bonus areas at the bottom of the screen and score additional points. Clear all pegs in a level to activate Ultra Extreme Fever and earn a special Peggle Ribbon!
Style Shots:
- Earn bonus points by pulling off cool 'Style Shots' - there are many to discover so keep your eye on the ball!
When will you port more games to my favorite console or device?
Here at PopCap, we have a couple of major goals: for our games to be enjoyed by anyone, anywhere, and for our games to be the very, very best! So you can count on the fact that if there is a device or platform out there that would be a great way to play PopCap games, we've got plans for it! And our drive for excellence means that each new version of a game takes time to get right--we want to make sure it plays well, that the different controls and options unique to each platform are used to their full extent, and above all that it's every bit as much fun as the original game! (Sometimes, it may even be more fun. That's a matter of opinion, of course, but that's the idea--for the Xbox version of a game to be more than just the PC game on an Xbox, for it to be its own singular experience.)
So we can't tell you exactly what's coming or when! We are always happy to hear from players about what game they're looking forward to and what device they'd like to see us develop for, so click Contact Us if you have a request. And thanks for your patience--it will be worth the wait!
