Bejeweled Blitz Gameplay FAQ
Rare Gems
Rare Gems are rare and beautiful gems which you can find and harvest by playing Bejeweled Blitz. Each Rare Gem has its own unique gameplay effect!
Moonstone:
The Moonstone splinters into three fragments and lands in your game board as a trio of Star Gems to start you off! It's like Mystery Gem times three, without the mystery!
Cat's Eye:
After your Last Hurrah has rewarded you for any special gems you had left on the board, Snackers will appear with eyes ablaze to help you score even higher! His multiplier is triple your final multiplier in the game, and each blast from his laser eyes is as powerful as a flame gem detonation! Snackers will rescue a lackluster game or send a great one into the stratosphere!
Phoenix Prism:
The Phoenix Prism captures the light reflected from all the gems on the board, giving it a beautiful rainbow shine. Due to this unique interplay of light and color, the prisms are Wild Card gems, able to be swapped to any nearby pair of gems to create an intense chain reaction, each prism causing a diagonal line of gems to explode.
The Phoenix Prism comes in batches of six gems, but only one gem can shine at any given time! Once you match your first prism, you will see the next light up within moments. Match it quickly to bring out the third! If you don’t use all six within the minute available, don’t worry; you’ll see any remaining prisms working to jazz up your Last Hurrah.
Once all your prisms have burst, and your eyes have feasted on the dazzle of colors, the phoenix himself will appear! (Okay, it could be a girl phoenix; it’s impolite to ask and downright rude to check!) As he takes his final bow and is reborn, a shower of his own feathers falls around him. Whichever feather he catches in his beak will determine the coin bonus you receive on top of the coins already earned in the game. These will automatically be added to your Coin balance.
Blazing Steed:
When you harvest a Blazing Steed Gem, you will begin your next game with Blazing Speed, which causes gems to drop more quickly and turns every match into an explosion! Blazing Speed usually lasts eight seconds, but this special opening lasts ten so you can start out with a bang, a blast, and a ba-boom!
But wait, there’s more. Even after the initial Blazing Speed burst fades, the Blazing Steed continues to make his presence felt. For the whole game, keep an eye on the Flame Gems you match—they’re bigger, better, blazing-er versions of their normal selves, taking out a larger area and earning more points.
Finally, when the clock runs out, a herd of fiery horses will stampede across your gameboard, scattering and detonating extra Flame Gems in a blaze of glory!
The Blazing Steed is our special gift to our devoted daily players! While you can find it at random like other rare gems, you can also earn a free Blazing Steed every week through the simple act of completing your Daily Spin at least 5 times within a week. You can use your free Daily Spins or speed up the process by purchasing extra spins. Like other rare gems, you can also harvest them off your friends’ walls if they share them.
When you have earned your free Blazing Steed, you will notice that you have a new item in your Message Center (the number on the Message Center button indicates how many messages you have waiting). To claim your free Blazing Steed, click on the "Message Center" button above the gameboard at the Bejeweled Blitz title screen.
Once you click on the “Claim and Play!” button in the Message Center, you must play the game right away to use your Blazing Steed, so make sure you don’t navigate away from the game page!
Kanga Ruby (NEW & UPDATED!)::
Meet the magnificent mustachioed marsupial! The king of kapow! Bruce, the boxing kangaroo! The Kanga Ruby is here to pound gems on your behalf with fists of furry fury! Whenever he appears on screen, a well-placed blow will be delivered to your board, destroying a section of gems.
The Blitzing boxer will turn up to deliver his roundhouses at least three times per game, but you can motivate him to come back even more often by destroying red gems! A Kanga Ruby's favorite gem is red, and as you match these, you will see his meter filling at the top of the board. The more red gems you match, the faster he will return to take another shot!
At the end of the game you will be awarded 100 coins for each red gem you destroyed!
Don't forget to Share your Kanga Ruby at the end of the game, because only through sharing can you experience the glory of Kanga Ruby Levels 2 & 3!
Whenever you play a game with a basic Kanga Ruby and Share it with your Facebook friends, you are sending them an exclusive invitation to play with Kanga Ruby Level 2!
When your friends play their Level 2 Kanga Ruby and Share it with you, you get to play Kanga Ruby Level 3!
Levels 2 & 3 are exclusively available through sharing. You will see the offers in your Message Center.
Please note that the Rare Gem will only appear if you play again once you've chosen to harvest it. If you refresh your Web browser or browse to another page, the Rare Gem will vanish.
Learn all about Bejeweled Blitz Party!
We are excited to invite our players to join us in Bejeweled Blitz Party, where you can team up with a friend to earn coins and show off your mad Bejeweling skills!
![]() |
You can enter Party mode through the icon on your navigation bar just above the game. If you have a number by the logo, there are Party invitations or results already waiting for you! |
How to Play: Start a Game with a Friend!
Click "Pick Friend" to launch the Bejeweled Blitz Friend Picker. You can choose a friend who already plays Bejeweled Blitz or challenge a friend who doesn't play (or maybe hasn't for a while) by switching to the "All Friends" tab. Just select the friend you'd like to play with to get started.
Bejeweled Blitz Party will now create a challenge specially tailored to you and your friend! The Team Goal is based on previous Party scores achieved by both players, so you can look forward to a challenge made just for the two of you! If you have never played a game in Party mode before, you'll start off with a default challenge, but once you've got some experience, you will be able to watch your goals increase as the game learns how skilled you are!
![]() |
Under the Team Goal meter, you will also see a set of three elite bonus goals, quantities of certain special gems you can create during the game in order to win an even greater prize! |
Next, you'll choose your Boosts for the game, just as you normally would. Remember that the Mystery Gem boost grants you one special gem at the start of the game, and that special gem does count toward your elite goals! (Note: Rare Gems cannot be used in Blitz Party, so you won't see any Rare Gem offers appear.)
Once you have selected your Boosts, you will play your round of Bejeweled Blitz. How high did you advance the score on your Team Goal meter? How many special gems did you earn toward the elite goals? Are you satisfied with your contribution toward the team effort, or would you like to try again before sending your friend the invitation?
If you click "Send Score," your score will be counted officially, and your friend will be notified that it is their turn to play a round with you in Bejeweled Blitz Party! If you click "Try Again," you will have another shot at earning a higher score for your team. But remember, there's no going back to that previous score once you hit "Try Again!" (If you fail to hit "Try Again" before time counts down, it's the same as hitting "Send Score." Your score will be saved and your invitation sent.)
After your friend plays their round, you will be notified of the final results so you can collect your winnings. Even if you didn't reach the Team Goal, you will still be rewarded if you have reached a certain percentage toward the goal and/or achieved the elite bonus goals!
How to Play: Accept an Invitation from a Friend!
If you've received a Blitz Party invitation, then you have a friend who wants your skills on their side for a great quest to earn Coins and glory!
When you are invited to play, your friend has already paid a Token to initiate the round, so all you need to do is take your turn! On the Play tab of your Blitz Party Games List, you will see the game invitation. Click on it to accept and play, and you will see the Team Goal Meter and elite bonus goals to see what you would need to do to make this a successful Blitz Party! Has your partner already achieved the high score requirement but failed to make any Flame gems along the way? Maybe your focus this round should be making as many Flame gems as possible to satisfy that bonus goal!
Once you have played your round, you are given the choice to submit your score or Try Again for one Token.
What are Tokens?
Each game of Bejeweled Blitz Party costs one Token to initiate. When you select a friend to start your game with, you use one Token to play the game and send them the invitation. They will not pay a Token in order to accept the invitation and play their round, because your one Token pays for both players to play one round each. If either player chooses to "Try Again" however, that player will pay another Token for each subsequent attempt they make before hitting "Send Score" and submitting their game.
All players will receive 5 free Tokens for Blitz Party as a gift to get started! After that, each day you visit Blitz Party, you can initiate one free game per day with a friend! To play more than one game in Party per day, you can purchase additional Tokens.
Blitz Party Games List
The Blitz Party Games List gives you a quick path to your in-progress games as well as your rewards that are waiting to be collected. Review your messages on both the Play and Collect tabs for new games and rewards!
![]() |
The Play tab lists any games you have been invited to play by a friend. |
|
|
The Collect tab displays the results of recently completed games--don't forget to collect your Coins and see how you did on the challenge! |
||
|
The Sent tab lists the games you have initiated with friends who have yet to take their turn, and you can use the Remind button to nudge your friends. |
Be sure to check back regularly so you don't miss out on games or rewards--Blitz Party requests will expire after 7 days.
Collecting your Coins!
If you have completed a game with a friend, you may have Coins waiting for you in your Blitz Party Games List hub! Click on the Collect tab to find out. If you and your partner achieved the Team Score and/or the elite bonus goals, you'll receive Coins to reward you!
New High Payout Option!
When you start a round in Party mode, you now have the option to play for more Coins! Click the arrow beside the payout display to scroll through your possible choices. It costs more Tokens to play the high payout games, but you can win vastly more Coins for doing so! Where 1 Token can win you up to 10,000 Coins, 5 Tokens can win you up to 75,000, and 10 can win you up to 175,000!
The initial Token cost pays for each player's first attempt. If either player chooses to try again, the second attempt will be fewer than the initial cost but more than the standard single Token cost of replaying a standard game.
Boosts FAQ
Boosts are special power-ups that you can purchase using Coins. They each last for three games and you can use up to three Boosts at a time.

How do I choose my Boosts?
At the beginning of each game, you will see the Boost Select screen. From here you can see how many Boosts you have remaining from previous purchases, add or remove new Boosts, and add Coins if you don't have enough to use your selected Boosts.
Will my Boosts automatically refill when they're empty?
If your Boosts run out during a session of Bejeweled Blitz, by default they will automatically refill as long as you have enough Coins to pay for them. When you leave and start a new session your Boost selection will not auto-refill from a previous session (same thing if you switch to a different computer, user profile, or Facebook user account).
You can select whether or not you want Boosts to auto-refill on the Options screen. Just click the box to toggle auto-renew on or off.
How to play Bejeweled Blitz
In Bejeweled Blitz, your basic goal is to swap pairs of gems in order to create sets of three or more, just as in any other version of Bejeweled. Since Blitz gives you only one minute, it's all about speed, strategy, and making the best moves in every moment to score as high as you can in a very short time and beat your friends to the top spot on the Leaderboard!
The board is an 8 x 8 grid of gems. When you swap gems to make sets of three or more, the matched gems disappear, allowing more gems to fall into place from above. Matches of 4 or more create powerful Special Gems.
Special Gems
![]() |
Flame Gems are created by matching a set of four gems. Flame Gems explode when matched, destroying themselves along with all eight surrounding gems.
![]() |
Hypercubes are created by making a line of five gems. Hypercubes can be matched to any adjacent gem regardless of color, and doing so destroys all gems of that color on the board. This is a great way to detonate a Multiplier Gem that is not near any sets of its own color!
![]() |
Star Gems are created by making a T- or L-shaped match. Star Gems, when matched, destroy all gems along vertical and horizontal lines from their own position.
|
|
![]() |
Multiplier Gems are created by clearing a dozen or more gems at the same time. Once you have a Multiplier Gem on the board, match it as quickly as possible to multiply your score for the rest of the game. There are up to eight Multiplier Gems you can earn per game if you're fast enough with your matches!
|
|
![]() |
Coin Gems appear only on yellow gems. Their appearance is random, meaning that you cannot take any special action to generate them, but matching them helps you earn Coins for buying Boosts! |
Daily Spin FAQ
We love our players, and the Daily Spin is one of the ways we show it! Just by visiting Bejeweled Blitz on Facebook, you can win free Coins with no more effort than a single mouse-click.
How often can I spin?
You can play Daily Spin once for free per day. This free Daily Spin is reset at 10pm Pacific Standard Time.
You can also purchase additional spins immediately following your free spin. Simply click SPIN after your free Daily Spin! If you already left that screen, just click on the button that says "Daily Spin" above the gameboard to pull up Daily Spin and click SPIN to purchase extra spins.
What's this new 5-Spin Bonus?
We've added a new feature to the Daily Spin to reward our players even more for coming back every day! If you make at least five spins within the week (the Bejeweled Blitz week starts at 10 AM Pacific Standard Time on Tuesday), you will receive an exciting new Rare Gem that you can use for free! Both free and paid Daily Spins count toward your weekly total to earn your free Blazing Steed Rare Gem! There is a limit of one free Blazing Steed per player, per week.
How do I claim my Coins from my Daily Spin?
Your Coins are awarded automatically. Don't worry if you don't see the full animation or you accidentally close your browser window, our system will still award your Coins.
How do the extra bonuses work?
The Friend Bonus is based on how many of your friends are playing Bejeweled Blitz. The Friend Bonus gives you 100 Coins for each of your friends who play Bejeweled Blitz up to the maximum Friend Bonus of 5000. Your friends don't have to have a score for the week to count toward your Friend Bonus.
The Consecutive Day Bonus adds a cumulative bonus of 100 Coins to your Daily Spin for each consecutive day you play. The maximum Consecutive Day Bonus for a day is 700 Coins.
How do I share my winnings?
After you play Daily Spin, you can send bonus Coins to up to 10 friends by clicking on the Share button! Only the top prizes give the option to give bonus Coins to your friends, and the number of bonus Coins depends on the amount awarded for your Daily Spin. The bonus Coins are available to your friends via their Message Center. The Coins that you share are not subtracted from your own Coins.
Why can't I see the Daily Spin?
The Daily Spin will appear automatically if you've played enough games to unlock it. If you've already played your Daily Spin, it won't appear again until the next time it's reset.
Key Stones FAQ
Welcome to the next evolution of Bejeweled Blitz Key Stones! The quests get deeper, the treasures richer, the rewards more rewarding! Let's have a closer look:

Carry out Bejeweled Blitz quests!
|
|
The Key Stones present you with specific goals, which can help you narrow in on certain moves to make, focusing your gameplay. When you know you need to make Flame Gems in particular, you may find your eyes increasingly drawn to those matches. You may be about to realize a deeper level of skill than you thought you had!

Ranks & Experience Points (XP)
What are Ranks and Experience Points?
You collect Experience Points with every game of Bejeweled Blitz. As you play and score more points, your accumulated Experience Points will let you achieve new Bejeweled Blitz Ranks. You can compare your Ranks and XP with your friends on the leaderboard.
Why am I starting at zero XP; I've been playing for a long time?!
If you haven't played since we started tracking Experience Points on Facebook, we don't have a way to tell what your Experience Points would have been from your past games. If you've been playing the PC version of Bejeweled Blitz, your Experience Point total will follow you over to Facebook. Points accumulated on Facebook and PC versions will be aggregated together.
This feature is new to the iPhone, so if that's how you usually play, you should notice your rank increasing!
If I have to quit a game early -- at 48 seconds for instance -- will I still get the XP I earned up to that point?
Alas, Experience Points are calculated at the end of each game, so if you leave early, you won't get any Points for that game.
Does XP affect my coin total or my high score?
XP does not directly affect your coin total or your weekly tournament leaderboard score, but by collecting enough XP to reach a new Rank, you earn bragging rights, cool titles, new Key Stone slots (at certain Ranks, to the possible total of three slots), and special Rank Rewards (premium Mystery Treasures!).
Why does my XP Reward look like it's actually subtracting from the XP I have?
In Bejeweled Blitz, we refer to XP in terms of how much you need before you gain a new Rank. Therefore, when you receive XP, you will note that the number displayed for XP in your stats or Game Over screen goes down--because the number is displaying how many points you must earn to reach the next Rank. It's a countdown between Ranks, so the diminishing number means that you're actually making progress toward your next Rank Reward.
How many Rank Badges can I earn?
You'll earn new Rank Badges for the first 100 Ranks.
How many Ranks are there?
There are 181 Ranks with unique names. You can continue to earn higher Ranks after 181, but we ran out of cool names at that point.
Frequently Asked Questions About Bejeweled Blitz
![]() |
What is the purpose of the Meow button? |
Well...who said everything in life had to have a purpose? Do you go around asking dandelions why they grow? We like cats. Cats like Bejeweled Blitz. If you don't believe me, try asking the next cat you meet. I bet he'll meow. What more proof do you need?
![]() |
What is the Meaning of Life? |
Er...maybe that should be phrased "What is the meaning of the Meaning of Life?" Wow, this is getting really deep. Anyway...if you don't get this reference, you have an excellent opportunity ahead of you for laughter and delight. Go find a copy of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (the book, not the movie. Say it with me: the book, not the movie). The hilarity receptors in your brain will thank you for it.
How do I get two Blazing Steeds in one game?
This is an easy one...you don't! The Key Stone in question is prompting you to get two Blazing Speeds in one game. It's a trick of the eye combined with rhyming terms that adds up to a bit of confusion.
Blazing Speed is achieved by making matches very, very quickly, and you can tell you have it when the board erupts into flames (also, if you have sounds enabled, you will hear the words "Blazing Speed!" spoken, accompanied by the sound of crackling flames). It's hard to get Blazing Speed twice in one minute...but it's definitely possible. If you're having trouble getting there, the easiest way is to start off by using a Blazing Steed! That rare gem will give you your first Blazing Speed instantly at the top of the game, and then you only need to get there one more time within the minute.
Bejeweled Blitz Billing & Purchasing
How can I get more Bejeweled Blitz Coins?
You can earn Coins through gameplay, by matching the special yellow gems.
You can also purchase Coins through the Shop.

To initiate a Coin purchase, click on the gold + symbol beside your Coin balance.
What are Tokens, and how can I get more of them?
Tokens are used for playing rounds of Blitz Party.
Each round of Blitz Party you initiate with a friend costs one Token, and that Token pays for both players to play once each--your friend will not have to spend a Token to accept your invitation!
If both players choose to submit their initial scores, the whole round is paid for with that single Token. Only if either player wants to try again for a better score will that player pay an additional Token.
You will receive five free Tokens to use when you first start playing Blitz Party. Then, each day you visit Blitz Party, you are able to initiate one free Party round with a friend. These daily games don't store up, though, so be sure to play your free game every day!

You can purchase more Tokens by clicking the purple + symbol beside your Token balance.
Tokens are separate from Coins and cannot be exchanged or used interchangeably.
How to give Coins to a friend via Mystery Treasures!
You can't transfer Coins to friends, but you can send a Mystery Treasure!
There are two ways to get to the "Send Gifts" tool. Just above the game board, you will see a link labelled "Send Gifts." Alternately, if you open your Message Center, you will see a "Send Gifts" button at the bottom of that window.

Once you launch the "Send Gifts" tool, you will be offered a list of friends to choose from, and the Mystery Treasure will gift your chosen recipients a random number of Coins.
There is a combined limit of 60 Mystery Treasures and Thankyous you can send each day. Sharing is good, but once you've hit the daily limit you will have to wait until the next day to send more Mystery Treasures.
The Bejeweled Blitz Message Center -- collect gifts and coins shared by your friends!
Receiving and collecting coins from your friends couldn't be simpler!
If you have been sent a Mystery Treasure or shared Daily Spin Winnings, your Message Center will appear the next time you load Bejeweled Blitz on Facebook. If you have unclaimed gifts, you will see a number indicating how many unviewed messages are waiting:
![]() |
Click on Messages to view and claim your gifts! |
It should not take more than a couple of seconds to load the Message Center notifications. If you are seeing the “Retrieving Sender Data” message continually, please try using a different web browser.
There is a limit of 200 messages in your Message Center, and once the limit is reached, new messages will be rejected. Also, some types of messages will expire over time to save room. So don't forget to claim your Coins and XP! We've added visible expiration dates to Kanga Ruby 2 & 3 shares, as those are the only type of message currently set to expire.
Bejeweled Blitz Troubleshooting
I got a message saying I "unlocked" something. What happened?
If you're new to Bejeweled Blitz, some features such as Boosts, Daily Spin, and Rare Gems are not available until you get used to playing the game. These features are available after only a few games, so keep playing!
How to Delete and Redownload Apps
If simply closing background apps or turning your device off and back on has not resolved performance issues with an app, the next step we recommend is to delete the app and reinstall it.
Note: deleting an app will also delete progress! Please be sure to backup your data first.
|
|
To delete an app from your iOS device, simply press and hold the app icon until all the icons begin to jiggle, and an x appears at the corner of each icon. Tap the x to delete the app. |
You can then redownload the app through iTunes or the App Store. Only the iTunes backup will also allow you to restore your saved progress.
Trouble connecting to Facebook on Bejeweled Blitz for iOS
Are you having trouble launching Bejeweled Blitz? Does the game start to launch and then immediately disappear? Is there an error message when you attempt to connect to Facebook from the game? Try these steps to get back to the game!
|
|
Apps are updated regularly, and you will be notified of any available updates via the App Store. On your device, if you see something like this, six of your installed apps have updates available for download! |
|
|
Tap the arrow under Play on your leaderboard screen to open the game's options menu.
|
|
|
|
![]() |
|
At the bottom of the options screen is the version number. The current version as of April 10, 2013 is v1.3.2 (605). |
To view all open apps, give your home button a quick double-tap. You should see a bar open at the bottom of the screen with your app icons displayed:

You can swipe your finger right-to-left to scroll through the pages of open apps. Yes, there may literally be pages full of them!
Press and hold any app icon to cause them to jiggle:

Tap the minus symbol at the corner of any app icon in order to close that app. You may be surprised how many apps are running in the background at any given time! Closing the ones you don't actively need just now will greatly improve your device's overall speed and responsiveness.
This process does not delete an app from your device! You can launch the closed apps again the next time you need them.
3. Restart Your Device
If you’ve followed the steps above and you still can’t get Bejeweled Blitz to start or you’re still receiving an error when you try to connect to Facebook, try simply restarting your iOS device. Once the device is restarted, try starting Bejeweled Blitz and connecting to Facebook before starting any other applications.
4. Reinstall Bejeweled Blitz
If simply closing background apps or turning your device off and back on has not resolved performance issues with an app, the next step we recommend is to delete the app and reinstall it.
Note: deleting Bejeweled Blitz will also delete offline progress! Please be sure to backup your data first. You will not lose any online progress, as that is stored on our servers and will be recovered when you connect to Facebook.
|
|
How do I turn the sound on/off?
To turn the sound on or off:
(Note: this function is not available until after you have clicked the PLAY button. It can be accessed either on the Boosts selection screen or once the game has begun. Don't worry--opening the Options menu does pause your game!)
- Click the Menu button or gears icon in the bottom left corner of the game.
- Use the slider bar beside "Volume" to adjust to your desired setting.
- You may also want to check your computer's sound settings if you're not hearing sounds as expected.
My Bejeweled Blitz Coins/scores are different between iOS and Facebook
Since we added greater functionality to the offline mode in Bejeweled Blitz for iOS, it might be a little bit harder to tell whether you're playing offline or connected! If your score or Coin balance isn't consistent between Facebook and your iOS app, you may simply need to connect to Facebook through the iOS app to update your game data online.
Bejeweled Blitz runs slowly? You can make it blitzier!
If you're finding that the graphics in Bejeweled Blitz aren't running as fast as you'd like, we have a new option that will speed things up for you! Open the Options menu, and select Simple Quality. The game will reload, and when it does, you'll see much zippier graphics again! This feature also eliminates some of the game's audio to streamline things even more.

Bejeweled Blitz for iOS
The Bejeweled Blitz app is a free iTunes download to your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad, and it comes with 50,000 free Bejeweled Blitz Coins to get you started!
Bejeweled Blitz for iOS puts fewer screen taps than ever between you and your next minute of gem-swapping joy! Okay, it's really just one or two taps fewer than previous versions, but still, those are valuable seconds you can use to run your Daily Spin right there in the app!
What features are included in Bejeweled Blitz for iOS?
First of all, we've got plenty of updates already in the works, so if you don't see your favorite features listed below, don't worry. We want to make this the ultimate Bejeweled Blitz app, so we'll keep adding and improving! But for now, the game features include:
- Daily Spin (yes, right there in the app!)
- Sharing high scores and Rare Gems to Facebook
- Offline mode with full functionality as of version 1.2!
- Your first 50,000 Coins free!
- Coins purchasing through iTunes for fast and easy reloads
- Gorgeous graphics (even on the iPad)!!!
I can't see my Ranks, Levels, and Experience Points in the App!
The game is connecting to Facebook, so don't worry!, your Ranks, Levels, and XP are still accumulating and being recorded. When you next visit Bejeweled Blitz on Facebook, you will see the updated Rank, Level, and XP you've earned while playing on iOS. But rather than waste valuable screen space, we have decided to give you a full-screen game board on your device!
I can't rotate my game to landscape view!
For greater flexibility with future updates, we have at this time removed the landscape option from Bejeweled Blitz. We may look into restoring it in the future, but there is no current plan in place to do so.
What if I already have the original Bejeweled 2+Blitz app?
You will need to download the new app in order to play Bejeweled Blitz. It won't replace the Bejeweled 2+Blitz app, and you can still choose to launch Bejeweled Blitz either through its own icon or through the Bejeweled 2 menu, but the new app must be installed. It's essentially a free upgrade to the new version that's faster, prettier, and packed with great features, plus lots more to come!
When you next launch your Bejeweled 2+Blitz app, you will see that the "Play Bejeweled Blitz" icon invites you to "Get Bejeweled Blitz!" Simply tap that icon to download the new app.
I can't seem to launch the new app through the original app! What's wrong?
If your original Bejeweled 2+Blitz app has not been updated in recent months to the most current version, then it will not be compatible with the new app. Since the original app has been removed from the App Store at this time, there is no way to update it. You will still be able to launch the original app to play Bejeweled 2! However, the new Bejeweled Blitz standalone app must be launched separately rather than through the Bejeweled 2+Blitz menu.
Bejeweled Blitz for Android
You've asked for it, you've clamored for it, you've kicked down our doors about it (thanks for not literally doing that last part, by the way). And it's finally here, Bejeweled Blitz for an Android device near you!*
*Probably in your pocket or on your desk.
The Bejeweled Blitz app is a free download through Google Play, and it comes with 100,000 free Bejeweled Blitz Coins to get you started!
This title requires Android OS 2.3 or higher.
Who are the three new characters on my Leaderboard?
You may have noticed that three PopCap characters have joined the ranks of friends on your Bejeweled Blitz leaderboard.
![]() |
You know him from Peggle, the headmaster by day and dashing superhero by night, the one, the only, Bjorn!
![]() |
Don't be fooled by his toothy grin--Dr. Mojo is here to help! He keeps the mojo flowing over in Zuma Blitz, and he's always got a kind word for a friend!
![]() |
Zombie no hungry. Promise. Want friends, maybe more. Sunday crosswords, walk in park. Turn-offs include smoking and photosynthesis. |
Why have these characters been added to the leaderboard?
You may have noticed that every week, you receive a bonus of Coins based on your Friend Score. You may also have noticed that some of your friends haven't played during a given week, and so they have "No Score This Week" beside their names. We decided to skew the odds in your favor by adding three PopCap characters to the board with scores that add to your Friend Score every week.
If you have at least 50 friends who play Bejeweled Blitz, and if none of your regular friends have scores below 25,000, then you may not even notice these characters. They may just sit at the bottom of the list as friends number 51, 52, and 53. But if you have fewer than 50 Bejeweled Blitz friends on your Leaderboard, then Bjorn, Dr. Mojo, and Zombie are here to help you out!
How do I know whether I am playing offline in the Bejeweled Blitz iOS app?
The current version of Bejeweled Blitz for iOS has a robust offline mode that is almost indistinguishable from online play through Facebook! You can run your Daily Spin, play with up to three Boosts at a time, add Coins...it's just like being online! In fact, it's so much like being online that you might not be sure which is which.
If you are uncertain which mode you're playing in, just look at your leaderboard. In offline mode, your leaderboard is populated exclusively by PopCap characters. You will also see a Login prompt in your leaderboard to remind you that you could connect through Facebook at any time.

Duels FAQ
Looking for a way to make your Solitaire Blitz games a little less solitary? Ready to take your leaderboard rivalries to the next level? Now there is a way to prove your dominance once and for all!
Duels present both you and the friend you challenge with the exact same board. That's right--the cards will not vary at all, so the only difference is you! Your decks are dealt out in perfect synchronicity, so there is no question of a luckier draw for one player or another. One of you was faster or made better choices, and that player will be victorious!
Challenge a friend to a Duel!
At the top of your leaderboard, you will see a new addition:

Click this bar to open the friend picker and select your opponent! You can play against one friend at a time or as many as 50!
If you play against multiple friends, every one of them will play on the same board with the same card layout. They're not playing against each other, though, only against you, so only you will see the results of all the games as they are completed. Each friend will see only your score and their own.
Accept a friend's Challenge!
Invitations to a duel are delivered in the Message Center. Click Accept to start your turn in the match your friend has started with you. At the end of the game, you will see how your game measured up against theirs.
At the end of a duel, once both players have taken their turns, you will have the options to Finish, Post Results, or Rematch. To end the duel, simply click Finish. To brag about the shellacking you've just dealt out, click Post Results! If you didn't come out on top this time, try hitting Rematch to start again on a new board. (You can always hope starting a new game will distract your victorious friend from bragging about how hard he schooled you. No guarantees though!)
The world (and worm!) of Solitaire Blitz
Welcome to the beautiful island home of Solitaire Blitz! It's an idyllic setting for you to start a new career as a treasure hunter! In this peaceful tropical locale, you are one of many trolling the depths in search of rare and valuable artifacts.
Treasure-hunting is so popular here that even local wildlife want to get into the game! You'll find birds, fish, even worms eager to join you on your quest and lend a hand...well, a metaphorical hand. You'll be lent plenty of fins, flippers, tentacles, wings....
Otis the worm is one of your best buddies below the waves! When he swings in at the end of a game, take a moment to click on him to claim your treasure! If you forget to click on "Claim Treasures," don't worry--earned silver is still automatically added as long as you complete the game. But if you don't click on Otis, you won't get to see the values of your discoveries! Another option is to click on your treasures one by one to see their worth.
Otis gets particularly excited for you when you've found especially rare and exotic treasures! When he does a little dance for you, you've uncovered something that would be the envy of your fellow treasure hunters!
Otis' best friend is Pearl, the mermaid, your trusty tour guide through the deep! Count on her to keep you informed of new and important features as you navigate the deep blue sea.

How to Play Solitaire Blitz
The Basics
![]() |
There are four Time Lines in each hand, and each one you uncover adds an extra 20 seconds to the clock. |
How do you get a high score in Solitaire Blitz? Simple! Play fast and make long runs! But everyone approaches this goal a little differently. Here are a few tips to consider:
- Try to make the longest runs possible to get the highest score. Before picking a card, look ahead to the second and third card you might play on it. Sometimes, picking a different starting card can result in a longer run. Of course, the “long run” strategy comes at the risk of taking too much time.
- Try to play as quickly as possible, to beat the time limit and get the most bonus points at the end. Some players imagine a metronome ticking away, and try to play cards as fast as it beats. Others play in quick bursts. While this strategy increases your risk of illegal plays, practicing at “playing fast” can help improve your game over time.
- Aim for the Key Cards first, to maximize the number of options you have for the rest of the game. You often find yourself with two or three alternative cards. If one of them helps you uncover a Key Card, choose that card first.
- Choose cards from deeper stacks over shallower ones and try not to empty any of your stacks too quickly. This way, you have more options and won’t get stuck with one tall stack at the end. Keeping the stacks “balanced” in this way not only gives you a better chance of clearing them, it also helps you uncover Time Lines. Of course, this strategy comes at the risk of finding less treasure.
- Collect rare items to get the most silver. If you see a hint of that telltale glow in the dirt before the deal, aim for it instead of the other stacks. It’s probably worth more silver, which will help you buy boosts in future games.
Quests in Solitaire Blitz Lost Treasures
Welcome to Lost Treasures! Join Pearl, Otis, and the whole gang on a voyage through the world of Solitaire Blitz! Earn glory, honor, and boundless treasure by completing quests at each location on the map.
Tell me more about this boundless treasure!
With pleasure! Completing the quests earns you far greater rewards than you have yet known in Solitaire Blitz! In addition to Silver and Energy, you will earn new Decks and bundles of Boosts. Best of all, some of these Boosts may be as yet unknown to you!
At the end of each game, you will see your results:

If you found one or more quest items, you will see this view of your achievement. If you'd like to see the standard game stats view as well, just click Show Stats to see your Silver earnings, Longest Run, Max Multiplier, and Win Streak, if applicable.
Just like any treasure, quest items can be found at the bottom of any cleared stack, whether or not you win the game.
How do I advance to the next spot on the map?
Click on the next destination to continue in that direction. Just point the bow of your ship toward the horizon, and sail on!
![]() |
Your destination is that glowing rocky cove! Click on it to tell your ship where to go! |
How do I proceed to the next quest?
Between islands on your quest, you will find that you need to hire additional crewmates for your ship. It's easier than swabbing the deck! Just click the Ask Friends to Crew button and ask your friends to help you out. It doesn't matter whether they are currently Solitaire Blitz players or not. In fact, you can invite the same friends to crew for you every time! There's no limitation on which of your friends can help you reach the next island. Once they accept, you will be able to start your quest. Click on the location again to continue with your crew on board!
If you don't have any Solitaire Blitz players on your friends list, this is a good time to invite them to play! Alternatively, you can pay to unlock the next quest location with Silver or through a one-time purchase for that island.
Can I replay a quest I've already beaten?
You bet! Just return to the Main Map and click again on the location to return to a previous quest. You will see the options to Play Again or Review Quests. Click Play Again to start this journey once more or Review Quests to see the quest items you collected. If you choose Play Again, the rewards will be different from those received on the initial completion. It's a great way to earn lots of Silver!
Don't worry--replaying previous quests in whole or in part will not affect your progress on the later quests. You can return to the most advanced place you left off at any time!
Do Duels count toward my quest?
Duels are separate, standalone games. You will find treasures on Duels, as always, but they will not include quest items.
Silver and Energy FAQ
Silver
There are many treasures under the sea, from shells and crabs to pirate chests and royal regalia. Recovering these treasures will earn you Silver, the standard currency of the seven seas. The rarer the treasure, the higher its value! Some treasures will be special Quest items to help you reach your goals and earn greater rewards! Silver is what you need in order to buy boosts that will enhance your game.
Boosts help you win the game and/or get a higher score that you would have earned without them. You have a chance to buy them before each hand. Some boosts are better suited for beginners (like “Extra Time” which gives you another 30 seconds to play). Others are better for strategic players (like “Run Finder” which gives you extra information about what’s underneath the top card). See the Boosts FAQ to learn more about all the possibilities!
Energy
It takes Energy to dive for treasure! You start with 5 units of Energy, and each hand consumes one. Fortunately, as soon as you drop below the maximum, Energy begins to replenish. In a few minutes, you’ll be back up to full.
To help each other out, you and your friends can send free Energy to each other, above and beyond the maximum. Just click their names on the leaderboard to instantly send one unit of Energy per friend per day. Also, extra Energy is always available for purchase in the Shop. Energy that you purchase or receive from friends goes into your “Energy Bank,” where it’s saved until you’re ready to use it.
Banked Energy
Using your banked energy is as simple as clicking Play just as you normally do! There are no extra steps required. If you have no more regular energy available, the next time you play, it will simply draw from your bank instead.
Scoring in Solitaire Blitz
Many factors influence your score in Solitaire Blitz.
-
Cards played – This is the simplest measure! You get points for every card played onto a build pile, and each card's point value increases as your run continues. A run occurs every time you are able to play multiple cards in a row without attempting an illegal move or playing from the draw pile.
-
Cards left – You get points for every card left in the draw pile when you win.*
-
Time left – You get points for every second left on the clock when you win.*
-
Bonus time – When you clear a Time Line, if the bonus seconds from doing so would have advanced the clock past 1:00, those seconds are instead converted to points.
-
Bursts of speed – You get extra points for playing 6 or more cards very quickly. When you play at least 6 cards with less than 0.75 seconds between each move, every card you play at that speed earns you an extra 500 points!
-
Clearing a stack – You get points every time you clear a stack down to zero cards.
-
Bonus moves – You get points for making certain unusual patterns of cards, such as:
Royal Family Bonus = The three build piles show a King, Queen and Jack at the same time.Three Of A Kind Bonus = The three build piles show three cards of the same rank.
Up-Down Bonus = Play six or more cards in a row using just two ranks (e.g. 5-6-5-6-5-6).
Around the World Bonus = Play every card from Ace to King (or King to Ace) without changing direction or breaking the run.
Seven Seas Bonus = Play one card from each of the seven stacks, moving left to right. This is a rare achievement to pull off, so don't forget to brag!
-
Accuracy Bonus – Play your entire game without making a single illegal move.
* Cards and Time left over count only the standard cards and time, not any added by the Extra Cards or Extra Time boosts.
Any points earned in categories 1 or 2 are multiplied by your current Card Multiplier. The Card Multiplier starts at x1 and goes up by one whenever you find a fish. Some fish appear randomly, but you always get a fish when your run reaches 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, or 60 cards.

Solitaire Blitz Troubleshooting
Close Background Apps to Improve Performance
If apps are crashing, running slowly, or not responding as expected, one useful step is to force-close apps you are not actively using. Every time you launch an app on your iOS device, it remains open in the background so that it will load more quickly next time you need it. However, this adds up over time to a large number of apps running at once, and it can seriously slow down your entire device.
To view all open apps, give your home button a quick double-tap. You should see a bar open at the bottom of the screen with your app icons displayed:

You can swipe your finger right-to-left to scroll through the pages of open apps and select which ones you are least in need of.

Trouble connecting to Facebook within your iOS game
If you are having trouble connecting to Facebook from within your game, there are a number of basic steps to try.
|
|
Apps are updated regularly, and you will be notified of any available updates via the App Store. On your device, if you see something like this, six of your installed apps have updates available for download! |

If you’ve followed the steps above and you’re still receiving an error when you try to connect to Facebook, try simply restarting your iOS device. Once the device is restarted, try starting the game and connecting to Facebook before starting any other applications.
4. Reinstall the game
If simply closing background apps or turning your device off and back on has not resolved performance issues with an app, the next step we recommend is to delete the app and reinstall it.
Note: deleting apps will also delete offline progress, so please be sure to backup your data first. You will not lose any online progress, as that is stored on our servers and will be recovered when you connect to Facebook.
|
|

Solitaire Blitz Glossary
Build Piles – The destination piles for the cards in your Stacks. You start with just one build pile, but you can unlock two more as you play by finding Key Cards.
Boosts – Boosts are special powers you can use to earn a higher score and enhance your game. They can give you extra time, extra cards, extra fish, extra jokers and more! Try different Boosts, to find the ones that best suit your style of play.
Card Multiplier – The Card Multiplier affects all the points you earn from playing cards. Whenever you find a fish, that indicates the card multiplier has gone up by one (from x1 to x2, for example). The maximum multiplier is x9.
Deck – Also sometimes referred to as the Draw Pile, the Deck is where the remainder of the cards are placed after dealing out the Stacks. Play from the deck whenever you run out of moves, but be careful! This pile will run out of cards, and you can only go through it once. You can draw from the deck either by clicking on it or by hitting the spacebar on your keyboard.
Decks – All decks of cards are the same on the front (4 suits of 13 cards, plus 2 jokers). But they can have different backs with very different art. Play with your favorite! You earn new decks as quest rewards, and there are premium decks available for purchase in the shop!
Energy – One unit of Energy is consumed with every deal of the cards. Energy recharges at a steady rate, up to a maximum of 5. Additional energy bought in the shop or received as gifts is stored in a separate bank, drawn from only when your regular energy is zero. Your current energy level is indicated by a meter on the map.
Fish – Every time you see a Fish in the game, it means your Multiplier has increased.
Free Gifts – Once per day per friend, you can send Energy by clicking on their name on your Leaderboard. In addition, you can click the Daily Gift button on the game's menu bar to send friends special treasures!
Key Card – Two cards randomly placed among the Stacks have ribbons on them, indicating that they are Key Cards. Each key card will unlock an additional build pile for you to play on.
Leaderboard – The Leaderboard displays all of your friends who are playing the game, their highest score this week, and the card back they’re currently using. Click on a friend’s name to send them a free unit of Energy!
Messages – If your friend sends you a gift or requests help, you will find it in your Messages. If you have messages waiting, this screen will appear automatically at the start of the game.
Quest item – Among the Treasures you will find at the bottom of the Stacks will be specific items you collect to complete Quests in Solitaire Blitz Lost Treasures. Collect all the Quest items to earn big rewards, such as Silver, Energy, Decks, and Boosts!
Shop – You can buy Energy, Silver, Boosts and Decks in the Shop. These items can be purchased with Facebook Credits. The Shop offers many exclusive items that you won’t find anywhere else in the game.
Silver – Silver is the currency of Solitaire Blitz. It lets you buy Boosts for your hand and can also be used to buy some items in the Shop. Your current Silver balance is indicated by a meter on the map.
Stacks – The cards are dealt out into seven Stacks at the start of the game. To clear each stack, you must move the cards onto the build piles. Each stack conceals a treasure buried beneath.
Stopwatch – You have just 60 seconds to clear the cards from the Stacks, and the Stopwatch tracks your time.
Time Lines – There are four Time Lines in each hand, at depths of 1, 4, 7 and 10 cards. When you clear all the cards above a Time Line, 20 seconds are added to the clock.
Treasure – Shells, crabs, jewelry, antiques, and many more mysterious things await you on the ocean floor, concealed by the stacks of cards. If you clear all of the cards in a stack, you can pick up its Treasure. The treasures are instantly converted to Silver.
What is Solitaire Blitz?
Solitaire Blitz is a fast-paced, treasure-diving solitaire variant. Two decks of cards are shuffled and dealt onto seven stacks, reaching down to the seafloor. Can you clear the cards to win the treasure?
Solitaire Blitz calls on your speed and precision and challenges you to stay cool under pressure! Beat the clock and discover the rarest artifacts of the deep!
Already playing Solitaire Blitz on Facebook? Learn about Solitaire Blitz on iOS!
If you're used to playing the game already on Facebook, here are some things you'll need to know to get the most out of the iOS version of the game.
When you first install Solitaire Blitz on your iOS device, you will begin with 5 units of Energy and 25000 Silver. You can purchase more in the Shop.
You will go through the tutorial when you first play, even if you logged in to Facebook on the first prompt. Don't worry--it won't take long, and you'll learn about the features specific to this version. For instance, if you were used to the keyboard shortcut of using your spacebar to draw from your deck, you'll be happy to discover the touchscreen equivalent! A simple swipe will draw from your deck.
Your Silver and Energy balances will sync between Facebook and iOS when you log in. If you then continue play on your iOS device in offline mode, perhaps due to losing your active Internet connection, your balance will sync again the next time your Internet signal is strong enough.
Some game data syncs with Facebook, but some is stored locally on your device.
-
Decks
That means you won't have all the decks available on your device that you are used to seeing when you play on Facebook. Unlocking a deck on your device will not also make it available on Facebook. Also, if you play the game on both your iPhone and your iPad, the decks will not sync between the two devices.
-
Win streaks
Since your win streak is stored only on your device, losing a game on the device will not affect your win streak on Facebook! Winning a game on your device won't increase the streak on Facebook either, of course, but it's good to maintain an uninterrupted streak in public, right?! Similarly, if you have multiple devices you are playing on, the streaks will not sync between them either.
Earn prizes by sharing Solitaire Blitz with your friends!
We've added another easy way to earn Silver (as well as other fabulous rewards) in Solitaire Blitz! Just click on the Messages button above the game to see the new feature we've added to the Message Center:

Wow! 50,000 Silver awaits! To get started, click Add Friend (or click one of the little question mark icons...or click anywhere within this box of enticement!) to launch the Friend Picker. Choose the friends you would like to invite, and then click Send Invite.
You can also initiate invitations from the Invite button or from within your leaderboard using the "Invite Oliver Queen" buttons--no matter which of these tools you use to invite a friend to Solitaire Blitz, the invitations will still be eligible for the prize.
But wait, how do I actually win the prize?
Once you've sent the invitations, it's up to the friends you invited to do the rest! If a friend you invited to Solitaire Blitz accepts the invitation and starts playing, you will then see their profile pic appear in place of one of those little question mark boxes, marking your progress toward your current goal. When you reach the goal, you will be notified in your Message Center to claim your prize!
If you invite a friend who has previously played Solitaire Blitz in the past, even if they haven't played in a while, those invitations are not counted toward your goal. The prizes are awarded based on the number of first-time players who join the game after receiving your invitation.
How do I pause my game?
You can pause your game at any time by clicking the pause icon right under the timer. Your cards will all flip over and the time will freeze until you click the "Keep Playing" button to resume the game.

Zuma Blitz New User Information
How Life works in Zuma Blitz
Life is measured in hearts. Each heart lets you play one game. You earn a new heart every 10 minutes up to a maximum of five. Beyond this limit, you can accrue extra hearts gifted by friends or purchased in the Store. These hearts are stored separately, or "banked."
To share life with a friend, click on "Send Life" on their leaderboard plank.
The hearts that are earned over time are used first. Once those run out, you start to draw on your banked hearts. There is no separate action to take in order to use banked hearts; simply click Play as usual.
Also, each time you earn a Star or are Promoted, you get more life.
How to play Zuma Blitz!
If you've never played Zuma Blitz, here's what you need to know to get started. Follow the links from this FAQ to go in-depth on any topic! And check out the Zuma Blitz glossary for more info on any of the terms used here.
Each week, Zuma Blitz presents a new board, with a new background design and a new layout of curves. Every board has its own unique challenges, but they all start with the same basic features:
- Tunnels - from whence the balls roll
- Skulls - toward which the balls roll

Your game can end in two ways, whichever one happens first:
- Your time runs out
- The balls reach the Skull
Time constraints: brevity is the soul of Blitz!
In Zuma Blitz, you have one minute to score as many points as you can. Watch for balls marked with an hourglass.

These are called Time balls, and each Time ball you match adds additional time to your game clock. You can use the Sands of Time powerup to get even more time for each Time ball.
Try to keep your game going as long as possible to earn more points, and make sure never to let the balls reach the Skull at the end of the curve!
Making a match: the raison d'etre of the Zuma frog!
As balls roll out along the curve, you need to make matches to clear them off the board. You create a match by shooting the ball in your frog's mouth at a row of 2 or more balls that are the same color.
Matches can have a cascading effect as well! If you shoot a single ball that causes multiple consecutive matches, that's called a Combo, and it's worth extra points.
Check out the image below.

In this case, the current ball is yellow, and firing it in the direction shown by the laser will cause a match with the two yellow balls on the curve.
Once the yellow balls are cleared from the board, the red balls on either side will collapse together. As you can see, there are more than three red balls in a row, so the red balls will also be cleared off the board. Your single shot caused more than one match (in this case two), so you will get a Combo bonus!
Swapping balls: Zuma frog always keeps a trick in his back pocket!
The current ball is always the one in your frog's mouth. The next ball is shown on your frog's back. If you look at the example below, the current ball is red and the next ball is yellow.

Sometimes you may not have a great move available with the current ball, so rather than waste a shot or break your chain, try swapping the current ball and the next ball!
To swap your current and next balls, you can either hit the spacebar or you can right-click your mouse (anywhere on the board).
Multipliers: making points much pointier since 1884! *
Watch for balls marked with X and a number.

Those are Multiplier balls, and they help you earn double, triple, quadruple (and so on) points for every match you make. The maximum multiplier is x9, and if you reach it, every match will earn you nine times its standard value. To increase your multiplier, you need to match the special multiplier balls that come out on the curve. When you match a multiplier, any future matches will be scored based on that new multiplier.

Zuma Blitz Glossary
Board: Each week, Zuma Blitz presents a new board, with a new background design and a new layout of curves. Every board has its own unique challenges!
Chain: Make consecutive matches without missing a shot to start a Chain. The longer you keep the Chain going, the more points you'll earn. If you shoot a ball and don't make a match, the Chain resets to 0. Shooting Fruit does not reset a chain, nor do shots made with active powerups, such as Lasers, Color Nukes, Hot Frog, and Cannons.
![]() |
A counter is located at the bottom of the screen showing how many consecutive matches you've made. The higher the number, the bigger your bonus. |
Clock: You start a game with one minute on the clock. You have 60 seconds to score as many points as possible. Matching Time Balls extends your game.
Coins: Coins are the main currency in Zuma Blitz, used to buy power-ups, monuments, Food, and bulk items in the Shop. You earn Coins whenever you get a Star or Promotion. You can receive Coins from Zuma Spin or as a gift from Friends. Coins are also sold in the Shop.
Combo: Whenever there's a gap with balls of the same color on either side, the gap will snap shut. Score a Combo when a match causes three or more balls around it to snap together in a secondary match. It's possible to cause cascading combos with three or more matches in a row!
|
Example of a Combo:
|
The current ball is yellow, so firing it at the two yellow balls will cause a match. |
|
|
The yellow balls will disappear which will make the red balls on either side collapse together. |
||
| There are more than three red balls in a row, so the red balls will also clear on impact. | ||
| Your single shot caused more than 1 match (in this case two), so you get a Combo bonus! |
Curve: Balls roll out on two tracks called curves. Each curve begins at a tunnel and ends at a skull.
Curve Clear Bonus: Blast all the balls back to the tunnel mouth to earn a Curve Clear Bonus. There are 2 curves so you have double chance of getting a Curve Clear. Do this multiple times in a game to score huge points.
Food: Frogs crave tasty nourishment! Feed yours well, and he will reward you with increased speed, bigger explosions, extra points, and more!
Fruit: Fruit occasionally appears on the board. Depending on the board, there will be different places fruit can appear. Fruit will not appear until balls from the rollout have passed in front of the fruit's set locations on that curve. If shooting Fruit is part of your strategy, make sure to let the balls rollout far enough on both curves to start Fruit spawning. Each time you hit Fruit, its value increases in the game. There is one special Fruit called Spinner. It will give you a free extra spin on the daily Zuma Spin. Shooting Fruit does not disrupt any chains. It is always worth your while to shoot Fruit.
Gap Shots: Create a Gap Shot by first making a gap in a row of balls. Before that gap closes, shoot through it to make a match in the row of balls beyond. Gap Shot matches are worth much more than regular matches. The size of your gap will determine the number of points you receive. The smaller the gap, the better! On some Tournament boards, there are three lines of balls. With those boards you can even set up a Double Gap Shot. It is very difficult, but worth lots of points!

|
See how I've cleared a huge gap between the purples and the greens? Now I can shoot the blues on the far side of the curve. Even better, after I match those blues, the greens on either side will snap together, followed by the purples on either side of them! That's a gap shot with a triple combo! |
|
|
Note how this curve has three lines, too. If I were able to match the purples directly behind the +140 notation and then shoot the yellows immediately behind the gap I had just created, that would be the elusive double gap shot! |
||
Hot Frog: When a match is made faster than the one before it, you earn a Speed bonus. This lets your frog shoot faster, and you also make progress towards Hot Frog. Once you get Hot Frog, your next three shots will be fireballs. Fireballs cause a bigger explosion than Bombs or Chain Blast so they are good for hitting hard-to-reach Fruit and special balls.
![]() |
Your progress toward Hot Frog is shown at the bottom of the board on the Frog-O-Meter.
| Another indicator is the color of your frog. As you get closer to Hot Frog, you can see your frog get "warm" (i.e. start turning red). Once it is completely red, you reach Hot Frog! |
Last Hurrah: When time runs out to end your game, it's not quite over! In the Last Hurrah, every special ball left on the board explodes. You'll get the points for all of them as well as for any resulting combos.
Life: Each heart lets you play one game. You get a new Life every 10 minutes up to a maximum of seven. Beyond this limit, you can accrue extra Lives that were given to you by friends or that you bought in the Store. These Lives are counted separately. You use timed Lives first. In addition, each time you earn a Star or are Promoted, you get more life. The higher your Star rating, the faster you get new Life.
Monuments: Monuments to certain Spirit Animals can be found in the depths of the jungle. These monuments can greatly improve your game when used! The Spirit Animal you choose will take the place of your frog for one game, and each one has unique special abilities! Learn more about the Spirit Animals here!
Multipliers: A Multiplier is a special ball marked with an "X" and a number. All points you earn after matching or destroying a Multiplier ball will be multiplied by the number on the ball. If you get a x5 Multiplier Ball, every point will be worth 5 points. If you then collect a x6 ball, every point will be worth 6 points. Multipliers can go up to nine.
Promotion: When you earn 10 Stars, the Frog King promotes you to a new title. With the new title, you receive Coins & Life, along with a Medal that all your Leaderboard friends can see.
Rollout: The curve starts at the mouth of a tunnel. All balls roll out of the tunnel and toward the skull at the end of the curve. The progression of the balls is sometimes referred to as the rollout.
Skull: Balls are always rolling down the curve. If a rolling ball reaches one of the skulls, you instantly lose the game. Balls shot out of your frog's mouth do not affect skulls.
Star: As you earn XP (Experience Points) in the game, your progress is tracked along a ring. Each time the ring fills, you earn a Star. Every 10 Stars, you earn a Promotion from the Frog King. Earning Stars also unlocks new features and powerups. The only way to gain Stars is by earning XP.
Swapping Balls: To swap your current ball with the next ball, press the [Spacebar] key or right-click anywhere on the screen.
Time Balls: Time balls are special balls marked with an hourglass. Matching or destroying them adds extra seconds to your game. In a standard one minute game, matching a Time ball adds five seconds to the clock. There are also power-ups you can add to affect the Time balls, such as Sands of Time, which increases the number of seconds each Time ball adds.
Tunnel: New balls appear on the curve by rolling out of tunnels. Balls never stop rolling out of the tunnels. As long as your frog can shoot balls, more balls will roll out.
Zuma Blitz Weekly Tournament
Every week, a new tournament begins on Tuesday (at 4 P.M. PST). All scores from tournaments past are thrown out the door and new possibilities unfold. Each tournament has a new board for you to discover. Try new techniques, strategies, and combinations of Powers, Food, and Monuments to move to the top of your leaderboard!
If you finish in the top three on your leaderboard for the Weekly Tournament, you'll win a Gold, Silver, or Bronze medal! Should you be so skilled as to earn a tournament medal, don't hesitate to gloat about it for all to see.
The leaderboard is composed of planks to display your current position in the Zuma Blitz Weekly Tournament. Each of your Zuma Blitz-playing Facebook friends has a plank (up to a total of 50). If you have more than 50 Zuma Blitz players among your friends, you will only see the highest-scoring players appear on your board.
Click View Stats on your friends' planks to see how they are doing. You'll see how many Medals they've earned, their current level, and any Spirit Animals they've unlocked.
Invite Your Friends!
If you love Zuma Blitz, maybe your friends would, too! And if they're new to the game, you've probably got at least a few solid weeks of wins ahead of you before they get good enough to be a threat. But don't tell them that up front, because antagonizing them might just spur them on to early greatness and leave you in the dust!
Zuma Blitz Advanced Strategy
Monuments in Zuma Blitz
Monuments to certain Spirit Animals can be found in the depths of the jungle. These monuments can greatly improve your game when used! The Spirit Animal you choose will take the place of your frog for one game, and each one has unique special abilities!
Depending on the weekly board, one Spirit Animal might be more useful than another. When the board changes, try out the different monuments to see what they can do for you!
In addition to its special power, every Spirit Animal gives you a Spirit Blast bonus at the end of your game. The Spirit Blast will blow up all the balls of a single color and give you bonus points. Each Spirit Animal is associated to a specific color. You'll also score points from any combos that result from the Spirit Blast.

Spirit Eagle: |
||
![]() |
Super Speed Shot - As the Eagle flies, so do your shots while he is on your side! The Spirit Eagle makes your every move smoother and faster, enabling you to slide through the narrowest of gaps with ease!
|
Fruit Bonus - Every piece of Fruit you hit will give you mega-points while you fly with the Spirit Eagle! With his help, you'll be making deliciously high-scoring Fruit salad! Even better, your Fruit will stick around longer to give you more time to shoot! Green Spirit Blast - blows up all the green balls remaining on the board when time runs out. The bonus points you get from Spirit Blast vary depending on how many balls blow up and your final multiplier. |
|
|
Spirit Beetle: | |
![]() |
Extra time - gives an additional 12 seconds to your game time. Your game clock will start at 1 minute and 12 seconds. That's probably what I'd do.) |
|

Red Spirit Blast - blows up all the red balls remaining on the board when time runs out. The bonus points you get from Spirit Blast vary depending on how many balls blow up and your final multiplier. |
|
Spirit Cat: |

During your Spirit Weasel game, you will also see the Cannon balls spawn at a higher frequency, and all balls blasted with the cannon will score at a higher rate! |
|

Yellow Spirit Blast - blows up all the yellow balls remaining on the board when time runs out. The bonus points you get from Spirit Blast vary depending on how many balls blow up and your final multiplier. |
|
Spirit Turtle: |

|
|
Purple Spirit Blast - blows up all the purple balls remaining on the board when time runs out. The bonus points you get from Spirit Blast vary depending on how many balls blow up and your final multiplier. |
Redeem a monument from a wall
If you have friends who also play Zuma Blitz, be sure to share the monuments you discover. Your friends will be able to click on your wall posts to get the opportunity to play with that Spirit Animal as well! Likewise, if your friends share their monuments, you can visit their profile page and click on their wall posts in order to give yourself the opportunity to play with a Spirit Animal.
By popular demand, we have added monument streaks!
When you play a game with a monument, you will then have the opportunity to continue playing with that same monument for several subsequent games, each at a lower cost than the one before!
Tips for scoring higher in Zuma Blitz!
There are a number of strategies you can employ to get a high score in Zuma Blitz. Here are some of the important bonus opportunities to take advantage of:
|
Maximize points with Multipliers! |
||
![]() |
Among the many special balls in the game, pay special attention to the multipliers, and shoot them as quickly as you can once they appear!
Once you activate a multiplier, it immediately starts doubling every point you score (then tripling, quadrupling, quintupling, and so forth)! In addition to expediting the effect of the point multiplier itself, shooting the multiplier ball currently on the board will allow the next one to start spawning. The sooner you get a x2, the sooner you will be able to get a x3!
|
Compound your coup de grace by maintaining your Chain! |
||
![]() |
Each consecutive match you make adds to the length of the Chain. Once your Chain reaches 6, you will start earning an extra 100+ points for every match you make until you break your Chain.
When you break your Chain by missing a shot, you will have to rebuild to 6 matches before the bonus applies again.
- Shooting Fruit doesn't break your Chain...as long as you successfully hit the Fruit!
- Powerups and special shots such as Cannon, Color Nuke, and Hot Frog blasts also do not affect your Chain in any way; these shots don't count to add to your Chain, but they also don't break it.
- Wild Shot does count toward your Chain, but it cannot break it, since any shot you take will be an instant match!
|
Cleverly curtail a rollout for a Curve Clear bonus! |
||
![]() |
When you clear all the balls all the way to the mouth of one of the tunnels, you get a Curve Clear bonus. The later in the game you clear the curve, the more points you earn!
This is a great use for your Hot Frog blasts, particularly with Cannonballs combined, as you can use that widespread explosive power to cut straight through huge sections of balls and wipe the curve to nothing! Try Ignition Sauce to really increase the explosive potential!
|
Feast on Fruit for fabulous fortune! |
||
![]() |
Every curve has at least one place where Fruit will appear. The first time you play a tournament board, figure out where the Fruit spawn so you can set up Gap Shots to hit them. Each Fruit you hit is worth more points than the one before.
Listen for the tell-tale sound effect that heralds the appearance of Fruit. If you wait until you spot it visually, it may be too late to execute a plan to clear the balls in front of it and take a shot. If you start planning your shot based on where you know the Fruit can appear as soon as you hear the sound effect, you can get it every time!
Remember that you can shoot the Fruit with any color ball, and it won't break your Chain unless you miss.
There are many ways to clear a Fruit:
- Shoot any ball to hit the Fruit.
- Shoot a fireball straight through the curve to hit it when you have Hot Frog.
- Shoot a cannonball at it when you have Cannon.
- Cause an explosion close enough to the Fruit to explode it. (This one is tricky, because the epicenter of the blast has to be near enough to the Fruit to affect it. Just because the blast took out the balls in front of the Fruit doesn't mean it was close enough to hit the Fruit as well.)
|
If we do not ever take time, how can we ever have time? (as the Merovingian says) |
||
![]() |
Another factor that can greatly increase your score is extra time. The more Time balls you match, the longer your game lasts, and the more time you have to rack up points! |
|
|
The ultimate in Zuma wisdom: Know thyself. |
Know your weaknesses. Take advantage of the Powers and Food that will make up for your shortcomings.
- Do you often run out of time before getting Hot Frog? Scarf down some Key Time Pie to add precious seconds to the clock. If you've unlocked the Sands of Time powerup, you can maximize each time ball as well!
- Are you likely to miss shots when aiming for small bunches of balls? Snack on a Candy Lei to get bigger clusters.
- Do you often get sidetracked dealing with one curve while the other gets out of control heading toward the skull? Use Color Nuke, Bombs, or Cannon to clear a lot of balls fast.
Even better: Know your strengths. Use Powers and Food that complement your style and make the most of your abilities.
- Are you a fast shooter? Get Speed Shot and be even faster.
- Do you set up lots of Gap Shots? Buy Gapple Sauce to get more points for each Gap Shot.
- Do you rarely miss shots? Get Chain Blast so you earn more points for consecutive matches!
- Are you the type who never misses Fruit? Use the Fruit Master powerup & nibble on a Kiwi Kebab to make Fruit appear far more often!
|
Let Zuma work for you! |
Make the most of each powerup! Wild Shot and Color Nuke are great powerups. They're immensely useful tools and possibly the most versatile in your arsenal! But if you're indecisive when they activate, they can become a hindrance rather than a help. Don't let yourself pause to evaluate all the options when you're playing with these powerups--trust your instincts and maintain your momentum.
Use your knowledge of the future to influence the now! You always know what your next two shots will be, thanks to the visual aid of the frog's mouth and back. You always have the option to swap those shots, thanks to right-click/spacebar. Keep an eye out for ways to use that foresight to your scoring advantage! Maybe both colors you are about to play have shots available on adjacent tracks of your curve! You can use the first ball to open a gap and then without pausing, fire the next shot, knowing it will pass through the gap to match the balls just beyond!
Finally, try various combinations of Powers and Food. You can use them to amplify or complement each other. If you have Bombs, Cannon, and Chain Blast active on your Powers menu, try adding Pyro Popcorn to make all of those explosions bigger! Don't like playing without Speed Shot but already have three other Powers selected? Add Hasty Pudding to make up for not having Speed Shot enabled! There are so many possibilities, and exploring them will help you hone your own play style. You may be surprised what combinations lead to your highest scores yet!
Powers in Zuma Blitz
Zuma Blitz has a variety of exciting powers (also called powerups) available to enhance your game! You can play with up to three powers per game by spending Coins. As you gain XP and earn Stars, new powers unlock and others increase in might!
Read all about the powers you can call upon to blast balls and earn high scores!
Each power levels up at certain stages of your progress, measured in the number of Stars you have earned. You can also unlock the higher levels of the powers early with Facebook Credits.
Bombs:
![]() |
This Power adds Bomb balls to your rollout. When you match a Bomb, it blows up and clears balls surrounding it. If it's near enough to a piece of Fruit, it can also pick that up for you! This power is great for catching multipliers and other powerup balls as well as opening gaps in the curve. |
There are three tiers of Bombs:
![]() |
Bombs I (4th Star) - Basic Bombs that explode when matched.
![]() |
Bombs II (47th Star) - Bombs roll out more often, so you can make even more explosions!
![]() |
Bombs III (88th Star) - Increases the blast radius for Bomb balls, so your explosions get even bigger! |
Wild Shot:
At regular intervals, a Wild Shot ball will appear in your frog's mouth. Wild Shot matches any ball on the board. It will even match and remove single balls. If you don't hit a ball dead on, the Frog King decides which ball will be the optimal match to earn you the most points. Wild Shot is very useful for matching lone special balls. Shooting Fruit with a Wild Shot will not change the point value of Fruit.
![]() |
Wild Shot I (6th Star) - Every 15th ball you fire will be a Wild ball. This ball will match any ball it touches.
![]() |
Wild Shot II (68th Star) - Every 13th shot will be a Wild ball.
![]() |
Wild Shot III (92nd Star) - Every 11th shot will be a Wild ball. |
Cannon:
![]() |
This Power adds Cannon balls to your rollout. Cannon balls come in all colors. When you match a Cannon ball, it changes your frog into Cannon Frog, so your next shot will fire 3 cannonballs, clearing away anything in their path! Cannons are useful for clearing distant Fruit or getting rid of bunches of single, unmatched balls. |
There are three tiers of Cannon:
![]() |
Cannon I (10th Star) - Cannon balls added to rollout. Match for triple shot!
![]() |
Cannon II (65th Star) - Cannon balls rollout with greater frequency.
![]() |
Cannon III (95th Star) - Adds an additional cannonball to the Cannon (for a total of four cannonballs each shot!). |
Speed Shot:
This Power makes your frog shoot faster! This is great for making gap shots and shooting at Fruit!
![]() |
Speed Shot I (13th Star) - Increases your shot speed by 10%.
![]() |
Speed Shot II (53rd Star) - Increases your shot speed by 20%.
![]() |
Speed Shot III (82nd Star) - Increases your shot speed by 30%. |
Color Nuke:
![]() |
Match Nuke balls to activate a laser you can use to destroy all balls of one color from a curve. Use the nuke to blast a color with many special balls, to trigger combos by destroying a color at the center of several sets that are ready to collide, or to destroy a special ball you can't reach. But don't think about it too long, because your time is still ticking! Choose carefully but quickly! |
There are three tiers of Color Nuke:
![]() |
Color Nuke I (17th Star) - Your frog shoots a laser which you can aim at the color of your choice to destroy all balls of that color on a single curve.
![]() |
Color Nuke II (57th Star) - Nuke balls appear more frequently in the rollout.
![]() |
Color Nuke III (98th Star) - The laser destroys the selected color on both curves! |
Note: there is no bonus for hitting Fruit with a laser. In fact, it would be a waste of the powerup!
Fruit Master:
This Power makes Fruit appear more often in your game. The more Fruit you hit, the more points each one is worth!
There are three tiers of Fruit Master:
![]() |
Fruit Master I (23rd Star) - Fruit appears 3 seconds faster than normal.
![]() |
Fruit Master II (72nd Star) - Fruit appears 5 seconds faster than normal.
![]() |
Fruit Master III (85th Star) - Fruit appears 7 seconds faster than normal. |
Multiplier Enhancer:
This Power increases your starting multiplier. The points you score for every match are multiplied by the number on the Multiplier ball. Match more multipliers as you play so you can earn even more points. The maximum is x9. Shoot these balls as quickly as possible to ramp up your score!
![]() |
Doubler (27th Star) - Start your game with the x2 Multiplier active.
![]() |
Tripler (108th Star) - Start your game with the x3 Multiplier active. |
Inferno Frog:
This Power makes your Hot Frog even hotter! If you have this Power active, your Hot Frog will shoot more than three fireballs!
There are two Tiers of Inferno Frog:
![]() |
Inferno Frog I (33rd Star) - Gives Hot Frog 1 extra fireball shot (for a total of 4 shots).
![]() |
Inferno Frog II (78th Star) - Gives Hot Frog 2 extra fireball shots (for a total of 5 shots). |
Chain Blast:
With this power, when you make a chain of 10 consecutive matches, an explosion occurs. The first explosion occurs on the 10th match but after that every 5th match triggers a blast. If you break the chain by failing to make a match, the count starts over at 0.
There are three Tiers of Chain Blast:
![]() |
Chain Blast I (37th Star) - An explosive blast occurs at the end of a chain of 10 consecutive matches (and every 5 matches thereafter).
![]() |
Chain Blast II (62nd Star) - A blast occurs at the end of a chain of 9 consecutive matches (and every 4 matches thereafter).
![]() |
Chain Blast III (98th Star) - Increases the size of the explosions. |
Sands of Time:
This Power increases the extra time you get with each Time ball you match. A standard Time ball adds 5 seconds to the clock.
![]() |
Sands of Time I (43rd Star) - Time balls add six seconds to the clock when matched.
![]() |
Sands of Time II (66th Star) - Time balls add seven seconds to the clock when matched.
![]() |
Sands of Time III (105th Star) - Time balls add eight seconds to the clock when matched. |

|
![]() |
Smokin' Hot Links Take a shortcut to Hot Frog by making chains! By keeping your chain going, you will fill your Frog-o-Meter faster and more often while you munch on these savory snacks. Pro Tip: Spirit Turtle doesn't enjoy sausages--they're a bad mix with his natural ability to bring on Hot Frog. |
|
![]() |
Sticky Apple With oozy gooey goodness, this sugar-coated apple causes all the balls to slow down, giving you plenty of time to take aim and savor the experience. |
|
![]() |
Whipped Taters Just as the mixer spins faster and faster when the potatoes are smooth, your frog shoots faster and faster when you're really in the zone! Keep up your chain to build your speed as you go. Great for saving a powerup slot on Speed Shot--why not use it for Chain Blast instead, and really maximize the chain benefits? |

Zuma Blitz Troubleshooting
Why isn't my score saving correctly or appearing on my Facebook page?
Please ensure that you have internet connectivity. If you are not connected to the internet, or have a very weak wireless signal your score may not post. You may be able to solve the problem by logging out of Facebook, clearing your cookies and cache in your browser, and refreshing the page.
Click here for instructions on clearing your browser cache and cookies.
The page fails to load correctly at least part of the time; how can I fix this?
Some ad-blocking and anti-virus software have been known to cause this issue. We recommend adding the page (see below for the URLs for each game) as a trusted site to these programs. In order to do this, please consult your ad-block and/or anti-virus program manuals.
Bejeweled Blitz page (http://apps.facebook.com/bejeweledblitz/)
Solitaire Blitz page (https://apps.facebook.com/solitaireblitz/)

If you are still having loading issues, please clear your browser cache. Click here for instructions.
The game is running slowly or is non-responsive. I want to go fast!
We're very sorry if your game is not running at its full expected speed! We call it "Blitz" for a reason, and it should feel lightning-fast! That said, there are a number of factors that can affect your game's performance, and we are happy to offer several suggestions for restoring the full Blitz factor!
1. Clear your browser cache.
Clearing your Internet browser cache/cookies can fix many common performance issues. We have provided steps for most common browsers here.
2. Restart your browser.
The simple step of closing your browser and relaunching it may help as well, especially in combination with having just cleared your cache.
3. Update Flash.
You may need update to the latest version of Adobe Flashplayer.
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
4. Close extra tabs you may have open in your browser.
Everything that's happening at the same time taxes your system! If you tend to open a new tab for every webpage you'd like to visit, you're asking your browser to keep track of a lot of information. It's also having to constantly refresh each of those pages...and let's not forget about the advertisements that might be trying to play videos on a tab you're not even looking at...better to just close the ones you won't need again anytime soon, allowing the ones you really care about to function at their best!
5. Update your browser.
If your online activities aren't as zippy as they used to be, it's often because the software that runs them is falling behind the times. We have provided links to download or update the most common browsers:
6. Try a different browser.
It's about finding the right tool for the task...and the right tool for your friends may not be the right one for you. For whatever reason, you may find that one browser renders pages faster or loads graphics more smoothly, and even on your own computer, you may find that certain tasks are better accomplished in one browser while others work more efficently in a different one. There is no reason not to have multiple browsers installed side-by-side, and it gives you more options when you do!
You can use the same download links from above to install these browsers.
7. Close other programs.
Just as keeping multiple tabs open in your browser will cause that program to slow down and chug, running a lot of programs all at once will slow down your whole computer. Take a look at the programs you've got open, and close down any that you don't need right now.
8. Restart your computer.
Again, just as restarting your browser is a useful step to clear it of its hanging processes and let it start from scratch, shutting down your whole computer is just a really nice thing to do every once in a while. Your computer probably works very hard for you and never complains (or rarely, anyway, if you consider error messages to be complaints!), so give it a little "power nap" to restore its mojo. It will thank you by running with greatly increased efficiency (or at least as much as it can muster)!
There are, unfortunately, a few other factors that we are less able to advise you on. If none of the above suggestions have been helpful, or if you are experiencing chronic, ongoing lagginess that never improves, then you may need more in-depth assistance, even professional maintenance for your computer. Be sure you're taking good care of it: avoid clicking on suspicious links; keep your antivirus software up-to-date and scanning regularly as recommended; run your Operating System updates. If you're good to your computer, it will be good to you!
Zuma Blitz General Information
Zuma Blitz options: sound, color blind mode, and more!
![]() |
Click the gear icon at the upper right beside "Shop" to open the Options menu.
![]() |
If you are in the middle of a game, you can access Options by clicking the Pause icon at the lower right corner. |
The Options menu allows you to raise or lower the volume of music and sound effects or mute the game altogether.
You can also turn on Color Blind Mode to change the ball colors to grayscale or disable the Laser Guide if you prefer playing without that feature.
The Laser Guide is a transparent laser beam that points from your frog's mouth to the ball you are targeting and is always the color of the ball currently in the frog's mouth. Using the Laser Guide does not affect your score, but it may affect your frame rate which can slow down the game. If your game is lagging, try turning off Laser Guide (you might also give it a try if you're looking for a little extra challenge!).
What is Zuma Blitz?
Zuma Blitz is the fast and furious one-minute version of the hit Zuma series from PopCap Games. Take on your Facebook friends as you blast balls from your fearless frog. Race the clock and destroy the chain of balls before you're swallowed by the golden skull. Master trick shots to score big, earn extra time and leap up the leaderboard. Work your mojo to gain experience points and unlock explosive new Powers. It's the most ribbeting game on Facebook!
Spirit Animals
The jungle is filled with wondrous creatures, and Zuma Blitz honors them all with Spirit Animal totems you unlock and collect every time you achieve a high score. The animals range from common beetles and humble lizards to noble jaguars and wondrous unicorns! You unlock a totem by scoring within its range. All Spirit Animal totems begin as paper, but each score within the same Spirit Animal's range adds a point toward leveling up the totem. You can upgrade Spirit Animals to oak, stone, jade, silver, and finally gold.
If you get consistent scores, a Spirit Animal will level up quickly. If your scores vary greatly, you will have a menagerie of paper Spirit Animals to start with. You can easily see at a glance what a player's average scores tend to be by the relative materials their Spirit Animal totems are made of.

Hidden Agenda Gameplay FAQ
Gadgets & Secrets: A Seeker's Guide
Each location in Hidden Agenda has a specific Gadget or Secret to reward you with for performing Jobs. We've put together a helpful key so you can choose which location for your next Job based on what you need to collect:
|
|
Visit Mo Leduc at the Ice Cream Shop for a cool cone and a Dirty Secret! He dishes up sundaes and gossip with equal gusto.
|
|
Kenny at Town Hall is always fidgety and nervous. Might be because of all those Shady Contracts he hands out.
|
|
Penny Paige must not have a very good cameraman over at the Newsroom, because she seems to rely heavily on Stolen Photos.
|
|
Go see Fireman Dirk at the Firestation to pick up a Security Tape. His motto is "Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not after you."
|
|
Esme at the Bookstore collects Forged Ledgers. She's an expert on books, including how to cook them.
![]() |
Rose Ellis over at the Motel knows all about Blackmail. After all, motel rhymes with no-tell, but no one said it wouldn't cost ya.
|
|
Meanwhile, at the Hotel, Vincent Darke proves to be a closet romantic with a supply of Love Letters. |
|
|
|
Reeba Miguire at the Museum collects Floppy Disks. They are, after all, a relic of the past.
|
|
Head to the Bed & Breakfast to consult with armchair genealogist Betty Ballatyne for all your Family History needs. She also bakes a mean scone. Literally. They're a choking hazard.
|
|
Over at the Courthouse, Judge Barlow Warton III takes his civic duties quite seriously and would never offer up items from evidence like Confession Tapes. Unless you scratch his back a little, perhaps.
|
|
If you're in need of Fingerprint Kits, you can visit the Police Station anytime. The Sheriff isn't terribly helpful in some situations, but he always seems to have surplus equipment lying around. (I heard he has a cousin in the forensic supplies business...but you didn't hear that from me!)
|
|
Dr. John, who runs the Botanical Garden, could definitely help you out wtih a Camera. He's an amateur photographer, you know. His eye for beauty is inspiring.
|
|
If you want the key to the city, bribe or blackmail the Mayor. If you want a Key Ring, check with Grover O'Brian over at the Train Station. He'll hook you up like a dining car!
|
|
For all your Flashlight needs, check in with Chip Hardy at the Marina. The docks can be spooky, and shining a light into the fog makes them even more ominous...but it's better than stumbling around in the dark.
|
|
Before he opened the Burger Shop, Hal Jennings probably worked as a locksmith. Not that there's any official record of that on his employment history, but it would certainly explain all the Key Molds he's got.
|
|
P.J. Alvarez explained that his Food Truck gets hired to work a lot of parties, so that's why he collects Creepy Masks. I don't know about parties, but I've seen him parked near the bank a fair amount. Finance is hungry work.
|
|
See Feng Fan at the Asian Market for an old-fashioned Tape Recorder. Just be careful not to run out of tape in the middle of a sting, because that clicking sound is pretty telltale.
|
|
Mama Alvarez runs the Gypsy Market, and she has everything you need. In other words, Duct Tape. Don't believe me? Watch MacGyver. Duct tape is all you ever need.
|
|
Saloon patrons seem to leave behind Sunglasses all the time. Bixby Rooker, the proprietor, explains that they need the eyewear when they enter before dark, then forget it when they leave at night. That makes sense...but I can't help wondering if maybe they never leave at all.
![]() |
Madelyn Rousseau at the Salon can hook you up with the snazziest styles, the bangin'est bangs, the uppitiest updos. Just make sure you tell her not to take too much off the top...the Bloody Scissors in her garbage point to a certain overzealousness in her staff. |
Upgrading Locations and Unlocking Districts
How to Upgrade a Location
One type of Quest you will be given is to upgrade locations. To do so, click on the character associated to that location, and select the Upgrade icon.
|
|
Upgrading a location reduces the wait time between jobs.
How to Unlock a District
Districts cannot be unlocked until you have been prompted to do so by a quest.
If a District is in shadow, simply mouse over the central area of the District. The Unlock District button will appear! Click on it to proceed.

Cases & Scenes & Jobs & Quests, oh my!
There are a variety of tasks available to you in Hidden Agenda to help you solve crimes and unlock more areas of the game.
|
|
When a character has the Job icon over his head, click on the icon and select "Start Job" to accept the task he has for you. The icon indicates what special items you will earn for completing the Job. In addition to the job-specific item, you also earn XP for these tasks.
|
|
Quests appear in the upper left corner of the screen and are less frequent than Jobs. Accepting and fulfilling the Quest will earn you XP as well as helping you progress toward solving the cases themselves.
|
|
At the bottom of the town view, you will always see the Case icon. Click it anytime to select a Scene to investigate.
|
|
You will need to collect gadgets and secrets in order to unlock Scenes. Once you unlock a Scene, you can search for clues in order to find Puzzle Pieces and solve the crime! |
Working Jobs
When you accept a Job, you will be shown a collection of items to search for around town.

This display dialog box will remain in the upper right corner of the screen as long as you are working on this Job. If you need help, hover your mouse over the display, and you will see a section of the map is suddenly highlighted, while the surrounding area is shadowed. This tells you that all the items you are searching for will be found in the highlighted section! See the example below:

If you get stuck, you can always click the magnifying glass icon to spend 50 Coins on a hint. The item will be located for you in a glowing circle. There is no limit on how many hints you can use per Job. They cost the same amount of Coins per use and refresh instantly, so you don't have to wait.
Also, pay attention to the orientation and coloration of the items on the display. If they appear darkened, that indicates they will be found in a shadowed spot on the map. If they are vertically oriented, for example, they will be in that exact position when you find them, so try looking for places where an item standing on end might fit.
Searching Scenes
When you unlock a Scene, you have three options for conducting your search. Seek & Find is always available, but Timed mode and Spot the Difference must be unlocked once per Scene. Once a mode is unlocked for a Scene, it will be available each time you play that Scene.
In each mode, your score is greatly enhanced by finding the items in quick succession. Hints within Scenes don't cost you any Coins, but they take time to refresh before they can be used again. You get a bonus to your score for not using hints, but the bonus for finding items quickly will make up for it!
![]() |
In Seek & Find mode, you will be given a list of 10 objects in the scene. There is no time limit in this mode, but once you start, try to find each object as quickly as possible, because you earn more points for speedy combos!
![]() |
In Timed mode, you have only 45 seconds in which to find as many objects as possible! You will still start with a list of ten, and until an item appears on that list, it cannot be clicked. The faster you find the listed items, the sooner new items appear on the list.
![]() |
In Spot the Difference, there is no time limit, but there is also no list of items! You will be shown a section of the scene on a split screen, and items that appear on one version are missing from the other. Click on the item or the empty space where it should be to identify all six as quickly as you can!
![]() |
Each time you search a scene, you progress toward the next puzzle piece that will help solve your case. You can speed that up considerably if you ask friends to join your crew! Each friend up to six per case will cause your progress to move more rapidly, making the most of the Energy used to search the scene. |
Completing Quests
One type of Quest you will be given is to upgrade locations. To do so, click on the character associated to that location, and select the Upgrade icon.
|
|
Upgrading a location reduces the wait time between jobs.
Hidden Agenda Billing & Purchasing
What are Coins, Gems, Energy, and XP?
Hidden Agenda uses several different types of virtual currency as you progress through the game.
|
Gems can be purchased with Facebook Credits, PayPal, credit card, or mobile phone. Click the + icon on the Gems display. |
Gems are the master currency in the game which can be used to purchase any other items you need while playing. Gems can be exchanged for Energy, Coins, or the various Items such as Gadgets and Secrets which are used to unlock Scenes and Districts or upgrade Locations. |
|
|
|
You earn Coins by completing Jobs around town and as a reward for certain milestones, such as levelling up. You can also obtain more Coins in exchange for Gems. Click the + icon on the Coins display to open the Coins store. |
|
|
|
Energy is required in order to play Hidden Object Scenes and take on Jobs. You will earn more Energy over time, as well as in larger quantities as a reward for milestones, such as levelling up. You can also exchange Gems for Energy. Click on the + icon on the Energy display. |
|
|
|
XP (eXperience Points) are earned through completing Jobs and Quests, playing Hidden Object Scenes, and for certain milestones. You level up by accumulating XP. |
Unlocking Scenes and Locations
Whenever there is a task which requires you to spend resources to Unlock or Upgrade, you have the option to Use Items or to take the Instant Unlock shortcut!

If you choose Use Items, the action will use Coins and Items in your inventory in order to fulfill the requirements. If you are short on some of the Items needed, you can purchase only those items by clicking Buy under the icon.
Alternatively, you can save your resources and Coins by clicking Instant Unlock. This option allows you to use Gems to fulfill the requirements rather than depleting your inventory.
One type of item needed to unlock premium scenes is the Friend Favor. You can send and receive these randomly as gifts. Friend Favor requirements can be bypassed through spending Gems or Coins.
Sending and Receiving Gifts in Hidden Agenda
At various times throughout the game, you are offered the opportunity to share gifts with your friends. You can also send gifts by clicking the Gift button that appears if you mouse over any friend's profile image on your Detective Friends Network bar.
![]() |
When you receive gifts, the notifications appear in your Inbox. |
|
![]() |
To collect gifts, you will click either Accept or Go To. The Go To button takes you to where your friend is visiting in town. Click on the Gift icon above their head. The items (either Coins, Energy, or a Friend Favor) will be added to your inventory, and a countdown will start, giving you 10 seconds to click Send a gift back. |
|
![]() |
If you miss the chance to send a gift directly to your friend during the countdown, don't worry--you can still send gifts by clicking on the Gift button at the right side of the Detective Friends Network bar! |
Hidden Agenda Troubleshooting
Where do my game posts show up on my Timeline?
The new Facebook Timeline feature has changed the order in which your activities appear on your profile page. There are many factors that affect your game activity posts and who can view them.
App Permissions Settings
When you first start playing a game on Facebook, you must allow it certain permissions. One of those permissions is "Post on my behalf." Please note that "Post on your behalf" does not mean the game will post without your permission! When you click "Share" on a high score or achievement, the game needs to have permission to complete that action of sharing on your behalf.
Click on "Edit settings" beside the app to make sure that "Post on my behalf" is listed as a permission you have allowed for the game. Next, you'll want to make sure you have not set the app's posts to be hidden from people you want to see them.
Lower in the "Edit settings" menu is a header called "Posts on my behalf:" where you will see a drop-down menu with groups of friends listed. You can choose to allow the game's posts to be viewed by anyone (Public), by Friends, by Friend Groups you pre-define (such as creating a group of your friends who also play the game!), or by "Only Me." If you have at any point set your Posts to be visible to only a certain group/only yourself, that may be keeping you or your friends from seeing your Posts appear.
News Feed View
At the top of your News Feed, you have a "Sort:" option. You can set your News Feed to sort by "Top Stories" or "Most Recent." If you've got it set to sort by "Top Stories," which is the default, then you won't see game/app posts coming up much, because those are rarely considered top stories by Facebook. Sorting by Most Recent will show you the latest activity without preferential treatment assigned based on number of likes or comments, etc.
Recent changes to Facebook have also made it so that hitting "Like" on a page may not be sufficient to add that page's updates to your News Feed. If you know you "Liked" a page but are not seeing any updates from that page, you may need to visit the page and click the "Liked" button, then hover your mouse until the menu appears. If "Show in News Feed" does not currently have a checkmark beside it, you will need to enable that option here.
Where to Look on Your Timeline
Even with your settings and permissions properly configured, you may not know where your game posts are being displayed on Timeline, because they are also not being treated as "Top Stories" on that page. However, any game activity you chose to post should be visible on Timeline. Since Timeline attempts to prioritize your posts and activities rather than displaying them strictly chronologically, app posts will fall lower down on the page than things like status updates, tagged photos, or messages from friends.
Scroll down your Timeline, and you will find that below the "widgets" such as your Friends list, recent Likes, game Achievements, etc., you will start to see your app posts. They may be aggregated by app title, so you may see several recent High Score posts gathered into a bundle that can be expanded to view in full.
For more information on Facebook's Timeline feature, you may want to review the FAQs at http://www.facebook.com/help/.

Lucky Gem Casino
Lucky Gem Casino Glossary
As casino slots are a very popular phenomenon in the world at large, it's likely many players will already be abundantly familiar with all the terms you will encounter in Lucky Gem Casino. But those of you who, like me, are new to this style of game might be a little confused by words like "Scatter" and "reels." The glossary of basic slots terms below should help get you acclimated to this other world of games!
Auto Free Spin: When you have Free Spins to play, you can choose between playing them one at a time by clicking on the Free Spin button or initiating an auto-play of the entire set of Free Spins in a row by clicking the Auto Free Spin button. Not all slots offer an Auto Free Spin. There is no way to pause an Auto Free Spin session once it has begun.
Bet Max: To automatically choose the maximum number of winlines for your next spin, you can click the Bet Max button. Once you have chosen a number of winlines, it will remain in play until you choose differently or level up. Levelling up resets you to a single winline. The Bet Max button only affects your number of winlines, not your coinsize. The Bet Max button also triggers a spin automatically when pressed.
Bonus Round: Most slots offer a special Bonus Round game that can be triggered by three or more Bonus Round symbols appearing on the reels. The rules and gameplay are specific to each game, so see the in-game help section for details.
Coinsize: You select your Coinsize to determine the amount you will wager on each spin. Once you have selected your Coinsize, it will remain at that level for all spins until you change it, move to a different slot, or reload the game for a new session. Different slots have varying default coinsizes, so you may wish to check both the Coinsize and the number of winlines you are playing each time you move between slots. Keep in mind that the coinsize is the number of coins you are wagering per line, per spin. For example if you have selected 20 lines to bet at a coinsize of 1, you will be betting 20 coins per spin. The maximum coinsize you can wager will increase as you level up.
Free Spin: Each slot offers a Free Spin bonus opportunity. Three or more Free Spins symbols on the reels (specific rules may vary by game) trigger a Free Spin bonus. Once you have received your Free Spins, you may have the option to play them one at a time or all in a row with the Auto Free Spin button. Some slots offer special bonuses within the Free Spins! Check each game’s individual rules or Paytable to learn more.
Paytable: On each slot, you will find a Paytable button. Click to display the payouts associated with each symbol that can appear within the reels. The Paytable screens also provide basic instructions for bonus rounds and free spins.
Progressive Jackpot: Certain slots, such as Battleship Jackpot Command, offer a feature known as Progressive Jackpot. This is a dynamic payout that grows based on the number of active players, then pays out to the lucky one to next meet the criteria for winning. Each time the jackpot pays out, it starts to grow again!
Reels: While lines are defined as left to right, reels are vertical, running top to bottom. The slots all use five reels to spin.
Scatter: Scatter symbols are a very special bonus opportunity for extra coin payouts! Unlike all other paying symbols, Scatters do not need to appear on winlines but can be scattered across the reels in any position. This also means they are only matched to themselves and cannot be substituted with Wilds of any kind. When you win with a Scatter combo, you have truly hit a jackpot!
Wild: A Wild symbol can be substituted for any standard payout symbol to complete a line. Wilds cannot be substituted for any special symbols such as Bonus Round, Free Spin, or Scatter.
Winlines: Moving from left to right across the reels, winlines determine your payout. When you win, the winline(s) will be highlighted to show you which combination of symbols paid out and how much. Before you spin, you can always hover over a winline number along the right or left side of the reels to display a colored line showing the path that winline will travel.
How to play Lucky Gem Casino!
Lucky Gem Casino is a free to play Vegas-style slot game. Your “bet” is based on how many matching symbols will appear on the pre-defined “winlines” once the spinning reels come to a stop. The more lines you play per spin, the more chances you have to win!
There are five vertical “reels” per slot. Winning symbol combinations always start from the left hand reel and must be adjacent to each other on a selected winline. Before you spin, you can hover over any winline number along the right or left side of the reels to display a colored line showing the path that winline will travel.
Step 1: Set your Coinsize
There are two elements to your bet—the number of lines you will play on, and the amount you would like to wager per line. When you first launch the slot, there is a default Coinsize selected for you, which will vary based on your level in the game. You can adjust the Coinsize to your preferred amount by clicking the + or – buttons beside the Coinsize display.
If you select a Coinsize of 5 and play on a single winline, your total wager for the spin will be 5.
If you select a Coinsize of 5 and play on ten winlines, your total wager for the spin will be 50.
Step 2: Select your Winlines
When you first launch the slot, a single winline is selected by default. If you click Spin without making any adjustments, you will spin with only one line active. To set a specific number of winlines, you can click the colored numbers on the right and left side of the reels. Another way to adjust your number of winlines is to click the BET ONE button. This button will add one line at a time and display its colored path across the reels. If you click the BET ONE button too many times, it will eventually cycle back to a single winline.
Most slots offer a BET MAX button that can be used to automatically select all available winlines. Note that this button will also automatically initiate the spin itself, so it is important that you have already set your Coinsize to the preferred amount.
Step 3: Spin! Win!?!
Once you have set your preferred Coinsize and number of winlines, you can click the SPIN button (or BET MAX if you want to play on all winlines) to initiate your spin. When the reels come to a stop, you will be shown the paths of any winning combinations on your lines!
Winning combinations always start from the left and will consist of three or more matching symbols. To understand the values of the symbols, you can view the game’s Paytable at any time. The Paytable will also show you the special symbols for each slot, such as Wild, Scatter, and any Bonus symbols. Wild typically substitutes for any standard symbol to create a winning combination, but it cannot substitute for a special symbol such as Scatter or Bonus.
How to Read a Paytable
Each slot has a Paytable button (typically located either beside BET MAX or just below the reels) which offers the payout values for winning combinations as well as brief descriptions of bonus features.
The values shown on the Paytable indicate the multiplier that will be applied to your Coinsize in the event of a winning combination.
If your Coinsize is 5, and your winline has 3 matching symbols, the “x3” number listed beside that symbol in the Paytable will be applied to your Coinsize. If the “x3” number is 5, then your win for that line is 25.
Special Symbol: Scatter
Scatter symbols are a very special bonus opportunity for extra coin payouts! Unlike all other paying symbols, Scatters do not need to appear on winlines but can be scattered across the reels in any position. This also means they are only matched to themselves and cannot be substituted with Wilds of any kind. When you win with a Scatter combo, you have truly hit a jackpot! Scatter wins apply the multiplier value shown on the Paytable to both your Coinsize and your number of winlines.
Not every slot has a Scatter symbol. Some slots offer Scatter only in Bonus Rounds or Free Spins. See each slot’s Paytable and/or FAQ for details.
Bonus Rounds
Each slot in Lucky Gem Casino offers unique bonus rounds and mini-games based on the graphics and gameplay of the original PopCap or Hasbro games! The Paytable on each slot will provide some details on the bonus features, and there is an individual FAQ for each game to walk you through in full.
Experience Points (XP)
Each spin you make on any slot grants you Experience Points, or XP. As you collect XP, you will reach new levels in the game and gain a higher position on your leaderboard. Best of all, leveling up unlocks new slots!
Badges
Throughout the game, you will receive notifications of badges you are earning for your achievements.
Each slot has a set of badges based on specific criteria (Such as: 5x Any Symbol: awarded for winning with any 5 symbols). To learn the requirements for a particular badge, click on that badge’s icon in the ‘Badges’ section (located under the XP display). The stars indicate the number of times the accomplishment must be completed in order to receive the badge. If there are three stars, and one is yellow, that means you have hit this goal once and must do so two more times.
When you win the badge, you will be offered the chance to share Coins with your friends by posting the achievement to your wall!
Better still, once you have earned all the badges for a particular slot, you will win a new Trophy and receive a huge Coin bonus yourself!
Trophies
Trophies are like badges that eat all their vegetables and pump a lot of iron. They grant you Coins when you earn them, and they look great on your (virtual) shelf!
There are trophies for each slot as well as trophies for achievements that add up across all slots. It takes a lot longer to earn a trophy than a badge, but the rewards can be epically huge! Make it to the top of the leaderboard and you can win the Top of the World trophy, which pays out 100,000 Coins!
To learn the requirements for a trophy, click on the icon in the ‘Trophies’ section (located under the XP display).
Sharing is caring! Friends who spin together win together! Chatting is…fun. (If you have a good rhyme for this one, post it to the wall or on the forums!)
The more friends you have playing the game, the more fun it will be for everyone! You can send each other Coins by posting your badges or by clicking on your friends’ names in your leaderboard. Sharing Coins is free to you and doesn’t take away any Coins from your own balance!
There are chat rooms in Lucky Gem Casino as well, so you can keep in touch with your friends and get to know other players while you spin! The lingo is pretty distinctive, but you’ll catch on quick, and it’s a friendly environment, so introduce yourself, and feel free to ask about anything you don’t understand.
The chat rooms can be accessed by playing in full-screen mode.
![]() |
To enter full-screen mode, click on the four diagonal arrows icon at the upper right above the game. |
Each chat room can hold up to 100 players. The chat rooms are not specific to any one slot, so you can change which slot you are playing without leaving the chat room, as long as you don’t exit full-screen mode.

How do I play Chuzzle on Lucky Gem Casino?
Chuzzle Spin is the bright and bold slot machine that pays out with twenty lines across five adorable fuzzy reels! The Chuzzle Spin Reaction Bonus will dazzle and delight while it hands out big winnings and Free Spins!

After the completion of your full allotment of Free Spins, you are taken to the Chuzzle Disco! Choose one of the Chuzzles to determine your Multiplier for your Free Spin winnings.
Pick a Bottle Bonus
Three or more Bottles in view will prompt you to pick one! The one you select will tell you the multiplier you have been awarded. That multiplier will then be applied to your bet and increase your winnings! If you didn’t have any winning paylines on this spin, your multiplier is still applied to the total amount you bet for this spin!
How to play Bejeweled on Lucky Gem Casino
In the tradition of PopCap’s flagship franchise, Bejeweled Spin delivers you dazzling graphics and shiny gems scattered across the reels! Play up to twenty lines and spin the Wheel of Riches to match your way to the top of the leaderboard.

Free Spin

Next, you will have a chance to set your multiplier for the winnings that are earned during your Free Spins. A wheel will appear with flashing numbers. Click the red STOP button at any time, and your multiplier will be awarded based on where the flashing comes to a stop. How to play Bejeweled Blitz Cascades on Lucky Gem Casino
Bejeweled Blitz Cascades is a whole new kind of spin! Rather than choosing winlines to bet on, you automatically win based on the gem matching that occurs on the board!
Gem Payouts & Flaming Gems
Any match of four or more gems in a row will make a Flaming Gem, which will immediately explode and destroy all gems in the adjacent squares. If you're familiar with Bejeweled Blitz, you may be wondering why you only see Flaming Gems, not different special gems based on the number of gems matched at a time. Well, the number and formation of gems in the match will increase your payout instead!
![]() |
Where you are used to seeing Power Gems, you will now get a x2 to your winnings.
![]() |
The formations for Star Gems pay in two different amounts: L-shape combinations equal a x4 payout...
![]() |
...and T-shape combinations grant you a x8!
![]() |
As for the elusive Hypercube, 5 gems in a row pay at x20!
![]() |
A standard three gem match pays x0.5. |
Boosts
Below the board, you will see the following buttons beside Spin. These buttons can be clicked to engage special boosts for your next spin!
![]() |
The lock boost allows you to select one color of gem that will remain on the board at the end of your next spin.
| The X3 boost applies a x3 multiplier to your winnings for this spin! | ||
| The up arrow indicates the Bonus Meter boost, which starts your meter off one-third full at the beginning of your next spin. | ||
| Click Get Boosts from Friends to ask for help and share Coins at the same time! |
Clicking any of the three boost buttons also engages your Spin. There is no confirmation or option to cancel once you click the boost button. It is only possible to engage one boost at a time.
Boosts recharge over time. Once you engage any boost, you will see a timer appear on that boost icon to let you know how long before you can use that boost again. If your friends have given you Boosts, you will see a higher number than the standard 1 on the icon to let you know how many of each boost you have available for use.
Lock Boost
Clicking the Lock boost button will trigger a Spin. At the end of the Spin, the gems will pulse. Mouse over the board to see a lock symbol appear over the gems. Choose a gem of the color you want to keep, then click to engage the lock. That color will remain on the board while the others are removed. Strategy tip: choose a color to keep that will cause cascades--look for gems that will fall into a parallel line beside each other once all obstacles are removed.
Get Boosts from Friends
Click this button to launch the Friend Selector. You can select up to 50 friends at a time, once per 24 hour period, and send a request for Boosts. The friends get Coins in the bargain! This allows you to do your daily sharing and requesting all in one action!
The Boosts your Friends send to you are random; there is no way to select which type of Boosts you want to give or receive.
Bonus Game
The Bonus Game is triggered by filling up the bonus meter to the right of the board. The meter fills as your gems match and cascade. If you see three matches cascade within a single spin, you go to the Bonus Round!
Once the Bonus Round starts, you have 45 seconds to make as many cascades as you can. Click Drop to refresh your board with a new gem configuration. Each time you refresh the board, you have the chance to make matches, cascades, and explosions to earn bonus Coins!
Blitz Reward Meter
Randomly, Blitz Coins will appear among the gems on your board. These are collected and counted in the meter on the lefthand side of the board. Fill this meter to earn prizes such as Rare Gems for use in Bejeweled Blitz!

Tokens
When you start Monopoly Party Spin, you are asked to select a Token. Note: this applies only on the Main Slot, not the Bonus Round.
Bonus Collectibles
Every Spin brings the chance to receive Bonus Collectibles! Win or Lose, if the Reels contain Houses, Railroads, or Utilities, you will receive those items to store up for use in your next Bonus Round. There is a limit to how many of these items can be collected and stored:
- 40 Houses
- 4 Railroads
- 1 Electric Company
- 1 Water Works
If you leave the game before reaching a Bonus Round, your Collectibles will still be there next time you play.
Bonus Game
Three or more Bonus symbols trigger a bonus game. Your Bet size in the Bonus Round is based on your Bet size and number of Lines in the Main Slot. The Bonus Round Bet size is displayed at the upper left corner of the game at all times.
How to Play the Bonus Round
When your Bonus Round begins, you may place any Houses and/or Railroads you have collected on the board. The Houses are placed on Properties. Doing so claims the Properties as your own and adds a Multiplier to your winnings whenever you land on those squares. Two Houses equals a x2 Multiplier, three Houses equal x3, four equal x4, and five Houses become one Hotel. If you have Railroads to place, they may be placed one per Railroad station. For Railroads, you receive a x2 Multiplier if you have one, x3 if you have two, x4 if you have three, and x5 if you have all four. Utilities grant a x2 Multiplier if you have only one, x5 if you have both. The Utilities are automatically placed for you.
Any Properties where you have not placed Houses will be populated by your friends! Landing on friends’ Properties will offer you the option to send them a Gift. You can send one Gift per friend per Bonus Round.
Once all your Collectibles are placed, the Bonus Round will begin. Click to roll the dice; each roll is also a spin! The spin determines what winnings may be earned and potentially multiplied based on where you land. If you land on a friend’s Property or an unoccupied square such as an unowned Railroad or Community Chest, your potential winnings will be solely determined by the single Spin itself. If you land on your own Property, however, the Auto Spin till You Win function will engage, spinning the reels over and over until a winning combination is achieved! Those winnings will be multiplied based on any collectibles you have placed on those Properties.
Special Squares
Landing on the Community Chest or Chance squares will draw a card from those piles and reward the bonus and/or play out the action on the card. If you receive a Get Out of Jail Free card, it will be saved for you to extend your Bonus Round!
Passing Go earns you a bonus based on your current Bet size.
Free Parking is a free space where you earn the winnings of your Spin with no Multiplier and no risk of going to Jail.
If you land on the Jail itself, you may be offered the option to send a free Get Out of Jail Free card to a friend who is currently in Jail! It’s a nice thing to do!
Landing on the Go to Jail square sends you to Jail.
Ending the Bonus Round
The Bonus Round continues until you go to Jail. This happens if you land on the Go to Jail square OR if you roll doubles three times in a row. If you have any Get Out of Jail Free cards available, they will be automatically played for you to continue your Bonus Round. When you go to Jail and have no Get Out of Jail Free cards remaining, your Bonus Round ends.

How do I play Battleship Jackpot Command on Lucky Gem Casino?
Welcome to Battleship Jackpot Command, the explosive Spin where your friends can help you fight the unseen enemy ships! Play between 10 and 50 lines across five reels, and send gifts to your friends!
The minimum number of bet lines in this slot is 10, and the maximum is 50. They can be increased or decreased in increments of 5 by using the + and - symbols below the reels. To automatically choose all 50, simply click Bet Max (please be sure to have selected your desired Coin size first, as the Bet Max button will automatically spin the reels as well). The only way to view the paylines individually is in the Paytable (located above the reels at the left corner).
Exploding Wilds and Expanding Ships, oh my!
Wilds are explosive in Battleship Jackpot Command! When you find a Wild on your spin, it will explode, turning that entire reel into one big Wild! Wilds will substitute for any symbol other than Bonus. Wilds will also not complete an Expanding Ship Bonus formation; those must always be comprised entirely of the ship symbols.
The Ship symbols have a special bonus win opportunity available if they appear together on a horizontal line. Five Carrier symbols along the same horizontal line represent the number of hits you would have made to sink a Carrier, so you are massively rewarded for having "symbolically" done so on the reels! The number of adjacent symbols required for this expanding ship bonus is based on the size of the ship. See the Paytable for details. Note: Wilds cannot be part of a line of ships to earn this bonus; it only pays out for the full line of ship symbols.
Bonus Game
Three Bonus symbols appearing on reels 2, 3, & 4 will trigger a bonus game. The three Bonus symbols will then invite you to choose one of them. Each symbol conceals a number between 1 and 4, and your selection will tell you how many Gunners you have available to you for the Bonus Round. Once you have made your choice, you advance to the Bonus Round board, a classic Battleship battleground with cloaked targets hidden on the board!
How to Play the Bonus Round
Four Gunners at the bottom of the board, representing your friends who also play Lucky Gem Casino, await your command to "Fire!" When you select a Gunner to fire for you, you will discover how many shots he has in his arsenal, and he will fire at the board. Any ships that are damaged in his barrage will become visible once hit. You earn points for each hit, but sinking an entire ship will win you the jackpot!
The jackpot for sinking a ship is called a Progressive Jackpot. It is based on how many people are playing Battleship Jackpot Command, so the more players, the higher the potential winnings! You can see the ticker going by at all times during the game to tell you how many Coins sinking each ship is worth. Once a ship has been sunk by any player, that ship's Jackpot returns to zero and will build back up until it is sunk again.
At the end of your Bonus Round, you will see how many Coins you earned for hits and/or sinking ships. You will then be offered the opportunity to send a Thank you gift to any of your friends who served as Gunners in the round.
Your Bet size in the Bonus Round is based on your Bet size and number of Lines in the Main Slot.
How do I play Zuma on Lucky Gem Casino?
Welcome to Zuma Spin, the Aztec adventure into the heart of the jungle! Take down fierce Tiki Bosses to win Free Spins, and take advantage of the unique Gamble option to maximize your winnings!
Gamble
Every time you win up to 3000 coins in Zuma Spin, you have the option to click the Gamble button. The Gamble screen shows you the current value of your winnings as well as the potential values you could increase to by gambling on each multiplier shown! Is the bird in hand worth more to you than the two in the bush? Just click Collect to cancel the Gamble mini-game and return to the Zuma Spin with your original winnings untouched. But if you choose to Gamble on any of the four multipliers shown, you could double, quadruple, quintuple, or even decuple your winnings! (Decuple means times ten; thank you Wikipedia!)
If you win on your Gamble, you can choose to Collect and leave the Gamble mini-game at any time, or you can Bank your original stake and replay with your winnings from the Gamble round!
The Gamble mini-game automatically ends upon your first unsuccessful Gamble, returning you to the main Zuma Spin. But you can play the Gamble mini-game again upon your next win!
Free Spin
To determine how many Free Spins you will be granted, you are offered a choice of Tiki Bosses to blast. Choose well, because each will award a different number of Free Spins, and you can only shoot one! Once you are shown how many Free Spins you have available, you can click either Free Spin or Auto Free Spin. Auto Free Spin will play your remaining Free Spins for you, one after another, without any need to click. At the end of your Free Spins, you are again given the choice of which Tiki Boss to shoot—this one will determine your Multiplier for all the winnings earned during your Free Spins.

Why do my Coinsize and Winline selections reset when I level up?
As you have probably noticed, each time you level up in Lucky Gem Casino, your Coinsize resets to the default, and your selected Winlines reset to 1. This is because levelling up also changes the Coinsize options that are available to you. If your previous default Coinsize was 1, and you were able to decrease it by intervals of 0.25 or increase it by intervals of 0.50, levelling up may change that to a default of 2 that decreases by 0.50 and increases by 1.00.
The reset to defaults allows you to look over the new Coinsize options available to you and select both your Coinsize and number of Winlines accordingly.

Adding new Friends you meet in the Chat Room
If you have met someone in the chat room and you want to add them as a Facebook friend, just type their name into the search bar and add them as you would any of your other Facebook friends.
There is no way to add friends directly from within the chat room.
Ignoring other players
You can block any users from your chat screen whose chat you don't want to read. To do this, simply click on the user that you want to block and choose 'Ignore' from the pop-up window.

We take all issues with inappropriate language or content in the chat rooms very seriously and are committed to preventing misuse of the chat rooms that may cause offense.
You can block anyone else in the chat rooms; all you have to do is click the name of another player and select "Ignore". You will then no longer see any of the messages they post.
We cannot realistically monitor the chat all the time, though we do have some monitors keeping an eye on the rooms. We are looking into increasing the security of the chat rooms to stop a minority of players from ruining the chat room experience for others.

I have a question about Happy Hour on Lucky Gem Casino...
What is Happy Hour?
Happy Hour is the most rewarding time ever to spin the reels at Lucky Gem Casino! Every Wednesday from 2-8 PM PST (which, yes, is actually six hours, or six times the happy!), we're proud to offer the following special rewards to our players:
-
Bonus Coins every hour!
We feel good about the bonus coin grants we give our players every four hours, but during Happy Hour, we're more than good--we're really happy! And since happiness divided is happiness multiplied, we're sharing the wealth! During Happy Hour, bonuses are available once every hour, so if you stick around, you can collect your bonus coins up to five times!
-
Happy Hour Coin sale!
During Happy Hour, all your Coin purchases are supersized! Whatever Coin pack you choose, you’ll get anywhere from 50% to 100% more Coins!
-
An additional slot unlocked for all players!
If you have yet to earn enough XP to unlock some of the slots, show up during Happy Hour for a sneak preview of the fun! To make this gift even giftier, we're doubling your XP for the unlocked slot during Happy Hour! So when you try it, you're also leveling up at double speed and moving closer to unlocking it for real!
What about people who aren't awake during Happy Hour?
You're right--that was totally rude of us to tell you about a party you can't reasonably RSVP to. We're over here, making plans in Pacific Standard Time, and we didn't think that part through. We're working on a solution now, and we'll make an announcement very soon.
But I just got my regular Coin bonus a few minutes before Happy Hour started--does that mean I can't have it for another four hours, despite Happy Hour?
Don't worry--you are still eligible for the extra bonuses! Even if you just collected your bonus right before Happy Hour, your next bonus will be available only one hour later!
I'm not seeing anything different about the game, but Happy Hour has already started!
If you aren't seeing Happy Hour start as expected, please simply refresh the page to load the game again.
I haven’t had a big win for a while! Why?
Since Lucky Gem Casino is a game of chance, there will unfortunately be periods in the game when you feel like you are losing more than you are winning. However, there will also be times when you feel you’re winning on almost every spin!
If you lower your Coinsize slightly to get the maximum number of spins, that gives you plenty of chances to take advantage of our generous payouts! This way the odds have a chance to even themselves out.
Don't forget about all the extra ways you can get free Coins, too! Each day that you visit Lucky Gem Casino, you can play a free Scratch Ticket for a Coin bonus that increases even more based on how many days in a row you play and how many friends you have in the game! We offer Bonus Coins that can be collected every four hours (or every hour during our Happy Hour promotion!) by every player! You can share Coins with your friends, and if they post their achievements, those posts also grant Coins to the first ten friends to click on them. We also frequently run coin giveaways on our fan page; be sure to "Like" the page and subscribe to it in your News Feed so you don't miss a chance to claim some free coins!
What do I need to play the PopCap games on Facebook?
In order to play these games, you need the latest version of Flash which you can download from: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
If you need assistance installing the latest version of flash, you may find instructions on the page: http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/productinfo/instructions/
NOTE for Mac Users: Some older Mac machines don't use Intel processors, which can cause some Flash compatibility issues. Please note that if your computer does not have an Intel processor, the issue is probably related to Flash player and not the game specifically. There have been some reports that Flash 10.2 does not run properly on non-Intel processors.
You can download the previous version of Flash here: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html
You also must ensure you're using a supported browser. Internet Explorer 6, Opera, and AOL browsers aren't supported by Facebook and you may experience issues when using them. We suggest using the current version of Internet Explorer, Google Chrome or Firefox.
Please update your browser to the latest version to achieve optimum security and compatibility:

Lucky Gem Casino Troubleshooting
Online games running sluggishly in Internet Explorer 10?
Players who have recently updated to Internet Explorer 10 may be finding that online games are running slowly and sluggishly. This is a known issue relating to the way the browser interacts with Adobe Flash, and Microsoft is working on a solution.
In the meantime, here are the suggestions we have to offer:
-
Try another browser.
Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox are both free downloads. Give one of those a shot!
-
Uninstall Internet Explorer 10 (Windows 7 users only)
On Windows 7, uninstalling the latest version of Internet Explorer automatically reverts you to the previous version, and Internet Explorer 9 works with Flash just fine! You can always reupdate to IE10 when the issues with Flash are resolved.
On Windows 8, please simply use Chrome or Firefox for the time being, as there is no way to install an older version of Internet Explorer.
How can I make the game bigger on my screen?
You can "zoom in" with your browser by using the following keyboard shortcuts:
Ctrl and + will zoom in.
Ctrl and - will zoom out.
Give it a try!
Note: if you have been actively playing the game, please make sure to click an area of the screen outside of the game board before using keyboard shortcuts. An area of empty white space to the side of the game will shift the focus to the browser as a whole, allowing the keyboard shortcut to be applied.
I’m having a problem sending or receiving coins from my friends!
We are aware that a small number of players are experiencing issues with sending coins to friends and receiving them in return. Please accept our apologies for this difficulty!
First of all, please try sending Coins to fewer friends at a time. You are able to select as many friends as you like, but the send action will fail beyond a certain number. We have added a Send Max button to indicate that the standard limit is 50 friends per send, but depending on your browser, there may be further limitations. If you are having trouble with your gifts not being received, please try smaller groups at a time, like 10 or 25. You can still send to all of your friends, just in batches, and that way, they should actually receive the gifts!
It has also been reported that players with more than 1000 friends or fewer than 100 friends may have difficulty sharing Coins. This is a known issue on Facebook which is under investigation by their developers. If you have more than 1000 friends within the game, it may be beneficial to remove some of the inactive players. If you have under 100, it may help to add some more.
Occasionally, our games may be blocked due to your Internet Browser’s Security Settings. We have found that changing to a different browser often helps our players to access the coins feature more successfully. Our games are most compatible with Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome, which are both available as free downloads. We’ve included the links for both of these browsers below:
If you are still unable to successfully receive coins, we are very sorry for the trouble. Rest assured that all feedback we have received has been passed on to Facebook's technical team for further investigation.
I’m having problems loading the game!
If you are having difficulties loading Lucky Gem Casino, please try refreshing your browser window. This will reload your game and solve most small problems.
If you're still having problems with the game not loading, please close the game completely, and then clear your 'Temporary Internet Files' and 'Cookies' by following the instructions here.
After you have cleared your cache, restart your browser and try to load the game again. If this doesn't work and you are still experiencing problems accessing the games, you may need to ensure that you are running the current version of Adobe Flash, which can be installed from the link below:
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer
We also recommend not running multiple Flash games at once.
My game had an error! Did I lose any coins?
If you encountered a loading error mid-spin and had to refresh the page, don’t worry! Even though you lost your view of the game for a moment, the action continued, and the outcome was recorded. When your page reloads, any winnings you earned will be there as expected!
Plants vs. Zombies Adventures
Visit Your Friends' Towns & Rain Doom Upon Them! (Doom-raining is optional.)
If you thrilled to shuffle along in browncoat shoes in I, Zombie mode in the original PvZ, then PvZ Adventures has a real treat for you!
Click on a friend's image, and select Visit to view their town. Check out their fortifications...are they up to snuff? Are they overconfident, relying on a couple of Peashooters to defend their tasty brains? Test their defenses by sending zombies to attack the building of your choosing!
They'll probably even thank you for pointing out their meager fortifications.
Sending zombies to attack friends costs zombucks, and the price varies based on which type of zombies you choose to send. Your selection will also include all less powerful zombies, so attacking with Barrel Zombies will include Coneheads and Browncoats in the assault too!
If your attack is powerful enough to overwhelm your friend's defenses, you will earn coins, and you can also leave them a note to brag about the damage you've done. Sure, they'll retaliate, but you won't be too worried, because you've planted with strategy and cunning! Let the undead hordes come as they may!
How to clear your browser cache & cookies

If the steps for any particular browser are no longer quite what you see here, please simply check the Help menu for your browser to find the updated information.

Chrome users: Is your cursor missing or in the wrong place?
Many players are suddenly having issues with online games in Chrome. You might be experiencing one or more of the following issues:
- I can't click on the buttons
- I can't see my cursor
- My cursor isn't where it should be on the screen
- I try to click on one button, but another button or link is activated instead

We are happy to say there is an easy way to fix this!
Copy and paste the following into your address bar in Chrome:

I know that doesn't look like what you're used to typing or pasting into your address bar! But trust me, this is how it should look:

Your plugins console might load with expanded view already open, or it might load in simplified view. Look all the way over on the right hand side of the page, where the word Details appears.

Just click Enable in the grayed out section, and then close Chrome. When you launch it again, you shouldn't have any further trouble!
Basic troubleshooting steps for free online games
Most games work in multiple browsers but will still exhibit better performance in some than others. If you are having difficulty with your online game performance, we strongly recommend trying alternate browsers.
In order to play the free online games, certain components need to be installed and activated on a computer through its browser. Depending on your computer, the browser you are using, and which games you are trying to play, you may need to install or update Flash or Java. If the necessary add-ons are not installed through the computer's Internet browser, our free online games will not operate properly. Please refer to your computer's help articles or your browser's help articles for further help installing and activating these components.
Other possible issues that could cause blocking of our Online games may be firewalls and virus scanners. We recommend you add our site to your list of "Safe" or "Trusted" Sites for your browser, firewall and virus scanners. Please refer to your software's help articles regarding adding safe/trusted sites.
Further instructions on resolving online games issues:
1. Clear your Internet cache.
Clearing your Internet browser cache/cookies can fix many common issues with pages failing to load. Some browser components may need to have their cache cleared as well. We have provided steps for most common browsers here.

- Select Control Panel.
- Double click and open Java.
- Select the General tab.
- Under Temporary Internet Files, select Settings.

Coins, Gems, & Zombucks
In Plants vs. Zombies Adventures, you will use several types of currency to progress and obtain the items you need.
![]() |
Gems are the master currency you will use to exchange for the other types as needed. You can also use gems to purchase certain in-game items such as additional plants, if you run out of a specific type during a battle. Certain items in the Shop are purchased by gems as well, such as decorations that can affect coin payouts. You can purchase more gems using Facebook Credits, credit card, PayPal, or mobile phone. Click the + symbol to start your transaction. |
|
![]() |
Coins are earned at the end of battles on your Road Trip. Each plant you used in the battle will explode into coins when the battle concludes. You also earn coins from certain buildings in your town, such as houses which pay rent at regular intervals. Click on a house to collect the rent. You can increase rent payouts by upgrading your house or placing certain decorations close by. |
|
![]() |
Zombucks are earned for mulching zombies in battle! You collect Zombucks on your Road Trip, and you will use them when you return to town to purchase buildings, paths, and decorations, as well as to send zombies to attack your friends and neighbors! You will also earn Zombucks for levelling up. |

Battling Zombies at Home and On the Road!
Powering Plants and Stunning Zombies

Plant Perk and ZombiFreeze! The latest innovations in zombotany! |
During battle, you'll notice something happening to your cursor: hover it over a plant, and it becomes a yellow spraybottle; hover it over a zombie, and the spraybottle turns blue. The spraybottle is filled with either Plant Perk or ZombiFreeze, and it's a great tool to carry with you into battle! Using either kind of boost costs 25 Sun.
Test Plant Perk on different kinds of plants to see what it does! For some, it may increase their firing range. For others, it may make them grow taller or stronger. All effects are temporary, but they're quite useful in a pinch! Plant Perk has no effect on Sunflowers.
ZombiFreeze does just what the name implies--click a zombie to stop him undead in his tracks for a few crucial moments.
(Tip: if you're trying to aim at a zombie or plant within a crowded area, watch for the color of the spraybottle so you can be sure you're clicking on the right kind of target!)
Road Trippin' with Crazy Dave!
The wide world is full of zombies, and brains in your RV are no safer than brains in your cozy cottage. But there's no sitting home safe and sound, because there's lots of cool stuff to explore and collect, and there are so many zombies to plantify! As you voyage out into the wilderness, you will take plants with you from town, as well as special items to help you overcome the hordes of undead.
In addition to the plants you've grown in town and brought along in your inventory, you can also use gems to purchase extra plants in the heat of battle. Once you have used all five of a type of plant from your inventory, the indicator below that plant will change from showing how much sun it costs to displaying how many gems it costs.

Zombie Zappers come from the Workshop. They magically freeze all zombies on screen for 10 seconds, giving you time to add plants or just to let your plants do their work in safety! If you've failed to prepare for Zoombie by planting Snow Peas, the Zombie Zapper can save your bacon! |

Gardening Gloves are made for you in Crazy Dave's Car. (You'd think driving gloves, right? But that wouldn't be Crazy!) Use these handy accessories to pick up a plant and move it to a better space if you're short on troops and can more easily reassign than fortify. |

Mega-Perk comes to you from the fine folks at the Cafe. They brew this delicacy daily, and it boosts all your plants simultaneously for a full five seconds. It's the equivalent of a rousing speech in the middle of battle! |
There is no risk to carrying one of these special items into battle, because if you never activate it, it returns to your inventory for next time.
As you advance in the Road Trip, extra plant pots will be visible to you, but you may not be able to unlock them just yet. Is that a total tease? Well, possibly, and we're sorry! If you reach that point in the Road Trip where extra pots are potentially available, but you haven't levelled up yet to the point where those can be unlocked, you're making difficult choices like Jalapeno or Cherry Bomb every time you start a level.
Zombie Invasions at Home
Zombies will invade your town at unpredictable times...because they're zombies, and they're inconsiderate that way. Their attacks are based on the actions you've taken in town at any given time, such as planting and harvesting, building and upgrading, collecting and decorating.
Don't worry--if you've left your game running and walked away, you won't come back to find that zombies suddenly attacked in your absence (unless a friend sent them!). The attack is triggered by actions you've taken, so it won't happen if you've wandered away from your computer for a few minutes.
When zombies are coming, you'll get a 30-second countdown to give you time to check your defenses. Use that time to place any additional plants around any buildings or paths you're not confident of, because you can't tell which is going to be attacked at any given time!
After the attack, you'll receive Zombucks and XP. Why not use a few of those Zombucks on clearing away the zombie messes? It keeps the spaces clear for planting, plus it beautifies your lawn. There's no neighborhood association to nag you about it, but still, your friends could stop by to visit anytime! Also, clearing messes and tall grasses count as actions toward bringing on your next invasion.
Don't forget that you can always change your layout of plants and paths, too! After an attack, if you found that the zombies entered from a spot you hadn't expected, use that information to edit your path so there's no connection to the street there, or move your plants to cover that angle.
Buildings and Decorations for Your Town
One of the ways you earn coins in PvZ Adventures is by collecting rent on houses. Your town starts out with one lot and one house, but you can build more houses as you progress in the game and expand your town by unlocking more lots.
Houses don't start paying rent until you build a path from the street to the front door. There are a variety of paths in the Shop, and you can buy them with Zombucks.

If you want to increase your coin payouts, you need to rent more rooms! That cozy one-bedroom is quaint, but profitable it ain't! Choose Upgrade to add square footage, and let the coins roll in! On other buildings, such as the Plantagon or Dave's Car (who are you to say a car isn't a building??), upgrading will increase the production rates for their special items. |

This button is a helpful reminder that all your buildings are in danger from zombies! The moment you add a building or connect a path to the street, you open up a possible attack route that needs defending! Click Protect Building to open your My Plants menu. Place your plants wisely to cover the paths of approach to the building. Don't let your neighbors catch you with your plants down! |

The future of house-painting is here today! Simply click on a house and choose Redecorate to randomize your home's color scheme. Why have a neighborhood of cookie-cutter tract homes when you could have houses in every color of the rainbow? Not that there's anything wrong with living in Stepford. Please don't assimilate me. |

Buildings that produce special items rather than coins will produce one item per day by default. Upgrading them will increase their production rates. At any point, if you just can't wait for the next lawnmower to be ready for collection at the Plantagon, click Speed Up to spend gems for immediate output. |
Adding Decorations
Another way to increase your coin payouts is by placing decorative items nearby. Not all decorations affect coin payouts--some are merely, well, decorative. Read the Shop descriptions to choose which items to place in close proximity to a house. Only houses are affected by payout bonuses.

In the Shop, hover over an item to read its full description. If an item has a Payout Bonus listed, it will increase the coin payout for whatever house you place it beside. |

While "Area of Effect: Medium" may seem nondescript, don't worry! When you select the item and go to place it in town, it will have a halo just like plants do when you go to place them, to indicate how many squares in any direction will be in range. For instance, in this image, I am looking for the right place to put a hammock. The hammock is outlined in green, telling me this is a viable spot to set it down. It's also haloed in yellow, telling me how far it reaches. Finally, there is a coin payout indicator above the house, telling me that I will earn 3 more coins per payout if I place the hammock here. |
Edit Mode
This is your town, so go crazy like Dave! You can pick up just about anything and put it back down in a different spot...within reason. When you have an object selected to move, any valid space where you could choose to set it down will be outlined for you.
![]() |
To get started, click the Edit Mode icon on the menu bar. That will bring up an Edit Mode menu bar with several different options. Each button on the edit bar offers you a different way to interact with the objects in your town. |

This button allows you to rotate items in your town. Are your tenants complaining about the view out their front window? Pick up the house and put it back down facing another direction! If only it were that easy in real life. |
|

Feel like streamlining? Is your town getting overdeveloped? Click this button to sell an item back to the shop! |
|
![]() |
Or maybe you want to experiment with a new layout while saving your buildings and decorations so you can put them back later? This button allows you to return items to your inventory until you're ready to place them again. |
|

Customize...Coming soon! I know, it's a tease, and we're totally sorry!

If you've been playing around with the other buttons described above, this button will return you to basic edit mode, allowing you to pick up items and move them around your town. |
If you're satisfied with your changes, click the big red X on the edit menu to exit.
Expanding Your Town
The fog surrounding your town is densely populated by the undead, but you can take back that ground, one lot at a time! Each lot can be unlocked at a certain level of progress, and you'll be prompted by quest assignments to locate any special items required.
Each lot you develop in your town gives you more space for constructing buildings. The more buildings you have, the more coins you will earn!
Expanding your town also raises the limit on how many plants of each type you can hold in your inventory at any given time and how many plants you can place around town to protect your buildings. You can place ten plants around town for each lot you have unlocked.
And don't forget the best part--each lot you unlock also brings you a new type of plant to start battling with!
